Dark brown with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, smoke, roast, toast, and tobacco. Taste was caramel, nuts, roast, smoke, tobacco, and a sweeter finish. Dorwart (2607) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JUN 11, 2012
Draught. Decent sized off-white head of varying sized bubbles. Some peak and chocolate malts along with some roasted grains in the aroma. Color is a deep mahagony brown. Flavor is more roasted grains, a bit of smoked peat and somevegetal flavors. Also very dry and a bit chalky. Driest scotch ale I have ever had. Needs more malts to up the sweetness a bit. An ok brew but would probably not get again. BVery (11209) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUN 3, 2012
Tap at Iron Hill North Wales, PA. Slightly hazy burnt amber pour with a small cream head. Nose is peat, smoke, and malt. Taste is the same with some caramel sweetness. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 2, 2012
On tap at the North Wales location. Poured a brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Smoke, peaty, meaty, caramel, some chocolate, and dark fruity. I really dug the smokey-meatiness. alobar (3879) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 22, 2012
Pours a cloudy brown color with no head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit, and hint of smoke. Dark fruit caramel flavor with hints of peat and smoke. Really great beer!

This beer is an exceptional Wee Heavy. A nice brown beer with a frothy tan head. Lacing has staying power. One of the best tasting Wee Heavy’s I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy.
