Draught at Maple Shade. My notes read "classic winter spices in a smooth lightly carbonated body. The head retention on this was amazing since it came with 5 other 4 oz samples and I drank this one dead last and the head was still sitting there smiling at me. Served with a rim of cinnamon and brown sugar so the aroma was all spice and no hops. Flavor was winter spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar) and to a lesser extent roasted malts". Nice beer but next time I will have to sample one in an unrimmed glass but I must admit it was a nice touch and worked. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - JAN 11, 2009
On Tap-Newark-Dark colored w/a moderate tan head. Spiced aromas. Malty flavor of roasted nuts, caramel, molasses, cinnamon, brown sugar, & allspice. Had a good bit of carbonation to it. This was a little different, but it was enjoyable. Long, spiced finish, it did warm you up. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - DEC 14, 2008
On tap at Pville. Pours a hazy deep reddish brown with a smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon, nuts and brown sugar. Flavor was a match of the aroma.
