On tap in Maple Shade. Nice light amber with a big long lasting head. The aroma was spicy and sweet. Flavor was very nice with a bit of sweetness followed by the spices and hops. Draft @ brewpub. Sample served with cinnamon and brown dishes rim, which dominated the aroma and only a few spice notes made it through. Not an accurate representation of the beer’s aroma. Pours dark brown with frothy beige head. Flavor was roasted malts, cinnamon and nutmeg which eased into a smooth spice finish. Draught at Maple Shade. My notes read "classic winter spices in a smooth lightly carbonated body. The head retention on this was amazing since it came with 5 other 4 oz samples and I drank this one dead last and the head was still sitting there smiling at me. Served with a rim of cinnamon and brown sugar so the aroma was all spice and no hops. Flavor was winter spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar) and to a lesser extent roasted malts". Nice beer but next time I will have to sample one in an unrimmed glass but I must admit it was a nice touch and worked.

Tap - Wilmington. Pours black into a cinnamon sugar rimmed glass with a large, creamy brown head, long retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is cinnamon sugar, roast and chocolate malt, leather yeast, and dark fruity esters. Flavor is malt with spices, light bitterness and hops and a dry finish. Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub: Aroma of spices, malt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Poured dark brown/very deep orange in color with a small, creamy, dense, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted around the edges. Hazy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, slight chocolate, faint molasses, slight cola, and some roasting. Medium body. Lightly dry, lightly chalky texture. Soft to average carbonation. On draught at the Newark, DE location. Arrived to the table rimmed with brown sugar and cinnamon. Damn, I hate that. I wish places would tell you when they do that. The beer is deep reddish brown with red highlights when held up against the light. It’s difficult to discern what is beer and what is the sugar and spice on the rim in terms of the aroma. Once I got a clean spot to drink from, the flavor is malt with mild vanilla and chocolate with some caramel. A touch of Christmas spicing. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon and caramel. Taste is sweet and spicy. Solid.
