On tap in Maple Shade. Nice light amber with a big long lasting head. The aroma was spicy and sweet. Flavor was very nice with a bit of sweetness followed by the spices and hops. Quite a kick as it goes down. Nice and warming but beware. A couple of these can sneak up on you. DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 12, 2011
Chestnut colored with aroma notes of malt, figgy fruit, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Tastes malty, with a pronounced x-mas spice flavor, backup hops, and an overall rich and smooth palate. sonnycheeba (5988) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 9, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Sample served with cinnamon and brown dishes rim, which dominated the aroma and only a few spice notes made it through. Not an accurate representation of the beer’s aroma. Pours dark brown with frothy beige head. Flavor was roasted malts, cinnamon and nutmeg which eased into a smooth spice finish. Good beer, but I would be interested in trying it without the extra flavors on the rim of the glass. dmac (6264) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - DEC 13, 2009
Draught at Maple Shade. My notes read "classic winter spices in a smooth lightly carbonated body. The head retention on this was amazing since it came with 5 other 4 oz samples and I drank this one dead last and the head was still sitting there smiling at me. Served with a rim of cinnamon and brown sugar so the aroma was all spice and no hops. Flavor was winter spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar) and to a lesser extent roasted malts". Nice beer but next time I will have to sample one in an unrimmed glass but I must admit it was a nice touch and worked. alobar (3784) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2010
On tap in North Wales. Clear copper color with a white head. Aroma of cinnamon, cardamon, and nutmeg. Flavor matches aroma with some vanilla. Very nice beer.

Tap - Wilmington. Pours black into a cinnamon sugar rimmed glass with a large, creamy brown head, long retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is cinnamon sugar, roast and chocolate malt, leather yeast, and dark fruity esters. Flavor is malt with spices, light bitterness and hops and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2012
Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub: Aroma of spices, malt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Poured dark brown/very deep orange in color with a small, creamy, dense, tan head that greatly diminished but lasted around the edges. Hazy. Slightly sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet. Tastes of malt, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, slight chocolate, faint molasses, slight cola, and some roasting. Medium body. Lightly dry, lightly chalky texture. Soft to average carbonation. Malt, spice, nutmeg, cinnamon, slight chocolate finish is dry. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2015
On draught at the Newark, DE location. Arrived to the table rimmed with brown sugar and cinnamon. Damn, I hate that. I wish places would tell you when they do that. The beer is deep reddish brown with red highlights when held up against the light. It’s difficult to discern what is beer and what is the sugar and spice on the rim in terms of the aroma. Once I got a clean spot to drink from, the flavor is malt with mild vanilla and chocolate with some caramel. A touch of Christmas spicing. Mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied. pilgrimoutlaw (888) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 19, 2012
On tap at Phoenixville. Tastes like Jaegermeister. Pours brown with tan head. Cinnamon, cloves, brown sugar, ginger. Moderately sweet, low bitterness. Full, creamy bodied. Decent winter beer, but not my cup of tea. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2012
Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon and caramel. Taste is sweet and spicy. Solid.
