A medium-bodied, lightly-malty ale with medium hop presence that finishes exceedingly smooth. A blend of three domestic hop varieties, including Cascades, provides a light and subtle aroma and flavor. 509: area code of the eastside. 509 Style: ale of the eastside.

Serving: from tap at Tides Tavern. Aroma: moderate grapefruit aroma. Appearance: small, frothy, off-white, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, medium amber body. Taste: moderately sour, citrusy initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: light body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: excellent. Unique flavor. Easy to drink. Great summer beer.

On tap, pours hazy copper. Off white head. Diacyl bomb mixed with oozing hot dumpster juice.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a golden topped with a sand head. Nose is mostly cereal malts grainy and a touch of hops. Taste is more of the grainy cereal malts and just a little grassy hops on the end.

Pours a finger of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is a nice lemon, orange and pine mixture. The taste a quick bitter lemon with orange sweetness on top. The texture is crisp. A nice and easy drinking beer.

Draft pour at the brewpub. Pours yellow with a faint grainy aroma. Slightly sweet malt flavor up front. Not a whole lot of flavor going on here, but this is an extremely easy drinking light summer type beer. I’m enjoying this.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a hazy light amber color with a smallish white head on it. Nose has some slight grassiness to it, as well as some berry elements coming through. Taste is a bit sweet up front, then descends into a largely fruity beer. Not at all what I expected.

Nice pale ale, easy drinking and almost sessionable. Like a lot of Iron Horse’s brews its very hazy. This location, 2nd Street Grill in Yakima is also pouring it way too cold. I would like to try cask conditioned versions of all Iron Horse Ales.

robforbes (2241) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2012
pours a cloudy amber with a small white head, and good lacing. smell is of caramel, some sweetness, malt, and some spice. taste is smooth and tangy, pepper, spice, caramel, malt in the back, and some hops. ends smooth and nicely bitter with a spice kick.

Pour was extremely foggy. Subtle smells and flavor. Nothing exciting to write home about, but would be a decent beer to share with someone who is normally a commercial beer drinker. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy in appearance. It looks like poopy water. Minimal head with poor lacing. Has a very boring aroma. It taste like watered down lemonade. Thin texture with no aftertaste at all. This was a disappointing beer. Would not buy.
