Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy golden amber with a slight off-white head. Aroma is floral and pine with some mildly roasted malt. Med body, almost. Flavor is rather floral, then a little resin, then some mildly gritty/bready malt. More dry than not, and finishes bitter. Good drink. Want to try a double version.
Bottle drank riverside in Fairbanks AK pour dark gold to light copper, with large off white head. Nose light dank hop, some sweet malt, caramel. Taste light bitter up front, then dank and earthy. Flavors slightly muted. JorgeLee (2117) - Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2016
Bottle from the supermarket in Seattle. Amber colour, white foam. Nicely balanced IPA with an interesting fruity note, lemony and slightly sweet, and a bitter finish. Decent, with a fruity twist vs. other regional IPAs. jgb9348 (6256) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUN 22, 2016
Nice hazy golden and copper coloured body with a bright ginger glow along with a nice, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of bright grassy and herbal hops with a nose of alcohol, strong malt and a touch of caramel sweetness. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal flavour with a deep dry malty flavour and a nice pleasant sweetness from apples, apricots and a bit of caramel. Aftertaste shows some dry elements and a bit more malt than a typical IPA, but relatively good and smooth with a touch of hop bitterness on the end. Overall, a good enough IPA that isn’t superb or amazing, but nice to sample and try. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Albertson’s in Great Falls, Montana on 19-June-2016 for US$4,99 sampled in my hotel room here in Montana on 21-June-2016. @ Mark Spencer 16-3-9: småtrevlig öl med toner av gräs och ananas. Tydlig beska men på et bra sätt. stevoj (5040) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 21, 2016
Bottle from Albertsons. Not as bad as some of these ratings would suggest. Aroma is slightly musty, funky, almost smells like rye. Murky copper pour, small tan foamy head. Taste brings immediate bitterness, hops while not too strong, obliterate any semblance of malt. Finishes bitter, and sticks around for a while. Good, but not great, IPA. On tap @ Iron Horse. Pours clear bright orange copper with thin white head. Aroma is muted citrus and crisp pine hops. Taste is clean sweet crystal malt, somewhat light-bodied for the style, the nice bitter hops - mild earthy dark citrus and sharp pine notes dominate. Decent IPA, not spectacular but no major flaws either. pinkzambia (1931) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 2, 2015
Bottle: Picked this up at a gas station driving through Ellensburg. Thin body for an IPA. I get the sense that they tried tooo hard to make this hoppy. It just seems to be missing something in the overall picture. Ok.
