UPDATED: MAY 7, 2010 Roasted chocolate malt abounds. There’s excellent sweetness and some floral notes that may be the appearance of some hops. Chocolatey, roasty and sweet, the beer combines these elements excellently. Creamy feel. douglas88 (9502) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Bomber thanks to Robert. Pours a jet black color with a medium brown head- looks awesome! A sweet nose of roast and char. A nice rich flavor with chocolate, milk, light bitter hops, roast, some metal, very smooth and my kind of beer. Very full flavored and a creamy palate. Awesome. Draft right from the Brewery Ambulance at the San Diego Craft Brewer’s Conference. The aroma is quite intense with concentrated coffee and roasted/toasted malt and hints of sweet cream. The body is a dark brown to black and holds a firm, lasting mocha colored head. The flavor is mild toasted/roasted malts, coffee and milder chocolate notes. A long dry, but still slightly sweet cream accented finish. Quite good. I went back for a refill several times, and that with many other beers available.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted oatmeal malty chocolate flavor with some creamy hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish. Ibrew2or3 (8743) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 1, 2012
On tap at Iron Springs brewpub during SF Beer Week, what a week! The nitro pour has a deep dark body with lasting mocha head of tight foam. The aroma has some roasted malts, some caramel malts and a good bit of burnt malty notes. The taste delivers dark roasted malts and then moves into a bit of roasted malt astringency as well as burnt malts that border on being sort of ashy. It gets even more burnt into the finish. Big roasty to burnt malt beer here. I like it. Strykzone (7482) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2016
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Huge gusher! Made a mess for both of us. Over carbonated! But it is a nice looking beer. Almost black with a dark multi colored tan head. Oatmeal, chocolate, and roast in the aroma. Also the flavor. Bitter dark chocolate and roast. Just a little citrus and caramel. Things smoothed out nicely mid glass and this became very tasty. The finish was dry and bitter chocolate. Too bad we lost so much beer from the over carbonation but this was good stuff. hayduke (5599) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 11, 2016
A bomber hared with Strykzone on Facebook chat. In the glass was black. But this was after a giant gusher. What a mess!!! Anyway it took a long time to manage to get a pint glass full;. The rest was lost to foam Tan head. Lots of tan head. Too much tan head. Nose of chocolate. Full body and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is roasted malts with lots of chocolate/ Some coffee in the finish. Very good beer after dealing with the foam. Too bad this was over carbonate. My only knock on what was otherwise an excellent beer. bhensonb (15489) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 9, 2009
Bomber. LIkely a gift from Marcus. Pours quite black with a large foamy tan head. Lots of chocolate in the aroma, with some dark toasted malt and coffee. Medium body with mild carbonation. Lots of toast and coffee in the flavor. Chocolate follows along. Nicely bitter. Excellent drink.
