Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, dusty, butter. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle from BevMo: Poured with a decent amount of foamed head while the liquid was a dark pitch black color. The aroma is robust and smells of roasted black coffee bean. The flavor is similar except for a richer roasted down profile. The palate is fizzy and has a heavy presence of carbonation. Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2011
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a pitch black with a dense light brown head leaving laces. Some hard roast malt and a little (cocoa?)butter in the nose. Solid body, sweet hard roast, quite some chocolate. Roasty finish. Nice alright. 261111 yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 25, 2011
Bottle. It pours a dark, dark brown body and a small, dense, beige head. Lots of coffee on the nose, with a solid dose of chocolate and roasted malts. Toffee tending towards butterscotch too. It’s full-bodied and semi-dry, nicely carbonated. Toffee chocolate and coffee in the flavor. Some hints of piney hops giving a little bitterness. Slightly metallic in the end. Overall, a quite nice one, but nothing impressive. 111125 chrisv10 (17795) - DENMARK - NOV 25, 2011
