Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a pitch black with a dense light brown head leaving laces. Some hard roast malt and a little (cocoa?)butter in the nose. Solid body, sweet hard roast, quite some chocolate. Roasty finish. Nice alright. 261111 chrisv10 (17930) - DENMARK - NOV 25, 2011

Bottle. It pours a dark, dark brown body and a small, dense, beige head. Lots of coffee on the nose, with a solid dose of chocolate and roasted malts. Toffee tending towards butterscotch too. It’s full-bodied and semi-dry, nicely carbonated. Toffee chocolate and coffee in the flavor. Some hints of piney hops giving a little bitterness. Slightly metallic in the end. Overall, a quite nice one, but nothing impressive. 111125 brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Black in color with a small tan head. Damn this is buttery. Roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, and some graham cracker. A little bit of toffee, some ash, and maybe bandaids. The flavor is no better. Tons of butter to go along with the roasted malt and chocolate. Strangely smokey, but some toffee and graham cracker sweetness.

Bottle from the Citrus Heights BevMo. Pours very dark brown with a creamy/foamy tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate with a slight hint of sour milk. Med body. Flavor is a bit soy, but chocolate it is - with a lot of burnt malt bitter. Worth the money. Ratman197 (15109) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 21, 2011
500 ml bottle courtesy of Irishboy (thanks Richard) poured a clear dark reddish brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of butterscotch, dark chocolate, light roastiness and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, dark chocolate, light coffee and light diacytal with a smooth lingering roasty finish. BeerandBlues2 (13646) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
Bottle received from Ratman. Pours dark brown to black with a small, fizzy light tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is leather yeast, roast and chocolate malt, light minty hops, and notes of prune and dates. Flavor is dark chocolate, light roast malt, medium roast malt bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body, low warmth, medium carbonation. Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 12, 2011
Bottle from Bevmo in Greenbrae, CA. Pours black with a medium thin tan head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Medium body that is sort of dry, sort of creamy. Flavors of mocha, grainy malt and a bit of hops. The finish is roasty with a moderately bitter coffee aftertaste. I was expecting something sweeter and more chocolatey but overall this is pretty good.
