Draft at beertemple. Black pour. Nice aroma of hazelnut, roasted malt and creamy choco. Rich taste of creamy hazelnut, coffee, roasted malt and a bitter finish. Very nice.

650ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, nuttily and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of white coffee, vanilla, a touch of roasted nuts. Taste is dry, nuttily, slightly roasty dark malty, hints of roasted nuts, white coffee, a touch of vanilla. Stops right before reaching the artificial marshmallow and hundreds and thousands regions.

On tap at the brewery. It pours a very dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is very sweet with huge vanilla and chocolate ice cream. The flavor has a little burnt marshmallow, vanilla and dark chocolate. Lots of burnt character here. Maybe some graham cracker too. Like an overdone smores, only not as sweet. The bitterness and roast mingle and last in the finish. Moutjfeel is medium and fairly creamy. Decent.

From the bottle at a beer tasting swim party. One of the best of the night. Lots of roasted and nutty flavors on this black pour.

Poured from a bottle, San Diego. TREMENDOUS aroma, extremely sweet chocolate aroma, reminiscent of Italian chocolate liqueur candies or something, not sure how else to describe it. This beer smells like the luxuriant aroma of a $150,000 BMW supercar, nice and malty. Flavor doesnt hold up, just a flat stout with hints of chocolate and coffee.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, huge fluffy off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly milk chocolate, lightly (Dutch) "hopjesvla". Taste malts, again milk chocolate and hopjesvla (which I hate) and decently bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Meh.

Bottle @ joes. Black colour with a huge beige head. Smells blueberry, chocolate, roasty, sweet. Tastes roasty, chocolate, coffee, toffee. Quite nice. Soft to medium carbo, medium to full body.

Countbeer (6534) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 26, 2015
Bomber: Taster: Beige brown head. Black beer. Aroma of dog food, choco malts, nuts and some coffee and chocolate tints. Flavour is malt roast, chocolate, coffee, nuts, bitters... Aftertaste is dry, roasty, coffee and chocolate with a nutty edge... Fully carbonated which causes a foamy overlead in your mouth... Good medium bodied.

UPDATED: MAR 17, 2016 Donker bruin bier met een gigantische beige schuim kraag. Ruikt pinda, noten, chocolade. Smaakt hazelnoot, cacao, chocolade, geroosterd, bitter. Enorm veel carbo.

Im a fan of stouts and of coffee, and definitely coffee stouts. I also dig beers like rogue hazelnut brown, but this is a stout with flavored coffee. Flavored coffee is bad, mkay? The cloying burnt hazelnut aroma and flavor is way too much. You can barely taste coffee or stout. Too strong on the aftertaste too.
