Roasted hazelnut flavor, chocolate, cocoa, raisins, figs, some licorice. Quite nice. yngwie (17185) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle, 22oz, shared by bergstaden. It’s pitch black in the glass, with a dense, dark beige head of moderate size. The aroma is coffee-filled, with oatmeal biscuits, dark chocolate, heavily roasted malts, nougat and a touch of dried fruits. It’s super-smooth, silky perhaps, and full-bodied, with a nice bitterness level. Both hoppy and coffee-ish bitterness. The flavor has perhaps a bit too much bitterness, especially in the finish. Roasted malts, coffee, hazelnuts, dark chocolate and some dried fruits and tobacco. Everlasting roasted, coffee-ish and bitter finish. A lovely one indeed, pity it’s so bitter in the very end. 170311 jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2013
