Dark brown, very dense and creamy and lasting brown head, beautiful! Huge hazelnut (liquor) aroma, with light American coffee, milk chocolate and some spruce in the back. Very creamy and foamy mouth feel, surprisingly easy to drink and even refreshing, to my surprise. Really nice, original brew. To my own surprise (I don’t typically love nutty beers) I really liked this! (66cl bottle from Saveur Bière) StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - FEB 1, 2013
650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a murky dark brown color with a medium khaki head head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with coffee, chocolate, hazelnut and mocha. The taste is similar to the aroma with the hazelnut really standing out. The coffees are similarly rich and strong and there is a bitter walnut hop presence. Most surprising to me is a lack of any real sweetness, just lots of roasted goodness. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes long and dry with lingering coffee grounds. Overall: First rate stout, very tasty. This is only my second beer from this brewery and so far i have been impressed by them. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - APR 4, 2013
From a tap at the brewery.Very strong aroma and taste of chocolate with a medium lite body , white head.I like it. skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 24, 2013
pours a black-dark brown with a two finger tan head which fades to very nice lacing. Aroma is of hazelnut coffee, roasted malts, caramel, and milk coco. Taste is of roasted malts, hazelnut coffee, coco, molasses, caramel, and some walnuts. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, roasty, moderate finish. Overall, a tasty, sessionable stout, that makes nice use of hazelnut coffee yackery (168) - California, USA - JAN 19, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 21, 2015 Draught.
Lingering sandy head like foam on a coffee / root beer float. Nose and taste are same: rich chocolate, nut and roast coffee ice cream pie with fudge icing and graham cracker crust.
Taste is sweet like the best ice cream - an enhancer not the end to a marshmallow means. This is the reserve ice cream for adults.
Bitter chocolate and bitter coffee or good bitter roast finish masterfully balances the recipe. Palate is smooth but filling enough for the best small, big coffee beer lover to nurse this alluringly libidinously decadent profligate pie of a 6% beer.
Overall, rather roasty.

pours a nice dark jet black with a frothy brown head. coffee and cocoa on the nose. Great coffee taste, one of the best stouts i’ve had in this abv range. bravo CLeclercq1961 (118) - Temecula, California, USA - OCT 18, 2015
Overall real good just a tad cloying sweet on palate. Poured black with brown tinge to it big tan head. Aroma of cocoa and fennel taste of same with some pleated malt character. Finish taste is great but somewhat sweet. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 14, 2012
On tap. Dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Sweet chocolate, caramel, hazelnut coffee aroma and taste with a dry earthy bitter finish and lingering roasted grain notes. Creamy palate. Pretty good. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 9, 2015
