Bomber purchased 2.5 years ago at Holiday Wine Cellar ($8.29). Somehow this just sat in the back of the cellar, but hopefully it’s good. Pours actual pitch black with a half finger of mocha colored foam that soon recedes into nothing. AROMA of creamy spiced chocolate, milky roasted malts, roasted nuts, and vanilla coffee. FLAVOR of dark roasted malts (slightly cardboard-y), some cola-braised dark chocolate, creamy coffee, some light molasses, and perhaps a bit of the honey that is supposed to be in here. Nice level of sweetness here. Velvety mouthfeel. Very smooth considering the high ABV. May have waited too long to open this, but it still comes across flavorful and smooth. Dark pour with tan head. Aroma of coffee cinnamon spices all around. Flavor of coffee and some alcohol heat. Finishes crisp and dry. Very good brew. Thisis12ptfont (1207) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - MAY 30, 2015
Aromas of vanilla, caramel, coffee, mocha, latte, cinnamon, burnt sugar and toffee. Appears black with tons of brown lace. Taste is really smooth with complex dark malts, caramel. toffee, chocolate, coffee, toasted malts, toasted bread and brown sugar. Finishes really dry with earthy dark toasted malts. Overall, a really great imperial porter with a solid body. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - MAY 25, 2015
Tap, brown pour, tan head, nose and taste are bitter, nutty, chocolate, pretty good Ibrew2or3 (8743) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Poured up at the brewery where it exhibits a nice yet murky dark mahogany body that supports a bright tan head of foam that has a golden tone to it. The aroma offers up malt sweetness, molasses, burnt malts and nuttiness. The taste is smooth, rich and sweetness that is enhanced by roasted malts and slight burnt maltiness. It has a nuttiness that seems sort of coconut or something. It ends as smooth as it started but there’s a modest malt bitterness going on.

22 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with a decent tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and coffee. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and some coffee. I didn’t get the honey and avocado tastes. Still a nice Strong Porter. jrodooo5 (1688) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUL 14, 2014
Deliciousness! Deep dark pour w/ a thin mocha head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is boozy & slightly roasty. The taste is quite similar. It finishes semi light which makes u want to come back for more! Pretty fantastic! daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUL 7, 2014
Deep brown color, tan head. I can’t say I noticed any honey. Just a straight forward, roasty porter with quite a bit of espresso flavors. jehoesefat (366) - Poway, California, USA - MAR 19, 2014
Sweet chocolate and coffee aromas. Pours dark brown with a foamy tan head. Very bitter at first sip and has a long coffee flavored finish. radarsock (1204) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 2, 2014
Had on tap at the source. $6 for the full pint. Pours syrupy black with which a sudsy, off-khaki head 1 finger in length stood. Aromas of rosemary, wildflower honey, cocoa nibs, bacon grease, dank hops, toasted breadcrumbs, and seawater. Tastes the same with the addition of lavender, cotton, fudge, denim, bay leafs, caramel, and charcoal. Not as fruity as Six Killer, but I found this to be equally, if not more, enjoyable: all the flavors appeared to be in the right place, and the alcohol was well-hidden, but it did creep ever so gently. Not earth-shattering, but this was fun. Recommendable.
