Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a frothy, beige head. Fair effort here. Deeply roasted malts, earthy bitterness, bittersweet baking cocoa. A bit of dark chocolate and burnt wood, too. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Light warmth at the end with more baking cocoa character. Rich, hefty. chrisv10 (18733) - DENMARK - AUG 31, 2017

On tap @ Ironfire. Black pour with a small tan head. Very roast forward nose, some ash, coffee, and coffee grounds. Licorice, dark fruit, burnt sugar, and a slight nuttiness. The flavor is kind of bitter up front with lots of roasted malt and coffee grounds. Burnt sugar, licorice, dark fruit, burnt nuts, and a hint of alcohol. bhensonb (15973) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 28, 2013
Bomber from CraftShack. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate and there’s a hint of something suggesting cinnamon. Full bodied. Flavor is primarily chocolate. It’s an earthy chocolate. This ale is very dry, tho the label says brewed with honey. Finishes chocolate and dry. Maybe with a honey hint coming out. Or not. Very tasty. Thank you Caesar! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT 2016-1. Black, solid creamy mocha. Nose is cheap chocolate powder, herbal, molasses, umami, roast. Taste is thin herbal mocha, roast, thin roast, grainy, bit fizzy, low umami. Bit meh for me, not too crazy about this one.
