The bottle looks very old and a bit complex. The beer in the glass fine turbid, creamy head. Starts strong, malty-yeasty, quite sourish. Finish shows woody and grasy notes, still strong, well balanced. Good beer!

Der Kloster-Urtrunk, ist ein Bier mit natürlicher Haltbarkeit. Also ca. 6 Monate haltbar. Also immer schön langsam geniesen

Poured this great looking cloudy golden color with a medium white head and had tons of sediment. The head leaves quickly but left behind some film. Some lacing. Smell is fruity and acidic but not offensive as sometimes the acid can be. I get notes of wheat, yeast, and some banana. The taste pretty much mirrors this but is also disappointing. I expected a thicker mouthfeel but was kind of weak and watered down. Still a pretty good beer but could be much better with a thicker mouthfeel.

Bottle.Pours cloudy yellow with a medium, fast dissipating head.Slightly fruity and acidic aroma with a little spice and grain.Generic fruitiness , a little wheat ,some malt with a slightly bitter finish.Somewhat weak, but not bad by any means.

Bottle. It’s a slightly hazy golden beer, topped by a dense, off-white two finger head. Takes some time to settle after gushing. The aroma has a hint of fruity sourness, generic fruityness, grians, spiced notes and a vague hint of banana. The flavor is very much the same, quite pronounced sweetness, and finishing dry, grainy and slightly bitter. Medium body, effervescent and dry mouthfeel. A slightly hefe-weizen-ish beer that was quite nice, but not a favorite. Suspects some infection going on, so a fresh bottle would be interesting. This one was far from past BB-date though. 090728
