Thanks to the guys at Wine 101 for the great deal on the case. I cant imagine a better cider. Its funky, cheesy and very lambic like. Bone dry, cloudy, tart, almost no sweetness. A lambic lovers cider...perfect.

Bottle from Carrboro Bottle Shop. Pours hazy pale yellow with only the carbonation from an aggressive pour. Nose and taste of tart apples, blue cheese, and awesome funk--gym socks and barnyard and rubber. Some lemon and vinegar as well. Tart, funky, and awesome. Super dry palate. Puckeringly good.

750mL bottle 2008 pours hazy golden/straw in color no head some bubbles. Aroma is overpowering of sour green apples and honey. Taste is not as I expected from aroma, very tart and sour which plays on the palate, finishes much like a wine Pinot maybe while also being very earthy woody. Extremely dry and drinkable really enjoyed this cider.

As far as ciders go, this is what I look for. Big hazy yellow pour with thin white head, aroma is huge tart apple and vinegar with some funky notes. Taste is not what one would expect from a cider but more from a sour apple lambic of sorts. Huge funky and tart start leading into some sweet and tart apples and finishes bone dry. Great cider.

Still, with a very pale lemon yellow color. Very nice aroma of apple with notes of dust, leather, and cider vinegar. Flavor is quite tart - a bit wild - with a cheesy note backing up the lemony acidity.

handbottle thanks to bhensonb. is this really a cider? wow super tart and funky cider if it is. poured yellow with no head but had some decent legs. aroma was tart lemon and a little cheese in the background. flavor was sours as could be with lemon, peach, and what seemed to be some oak. super dry. interesting to say the least.

Bottle from Corti Brothers in Sacramento, CA. Marked 2008. Pours Hazy gold with a few temporary bubbles. Nice slightly sour apple aroma. Near medium body. It is mildly sour and somewhat oaky and astringent. I could believe it spent some time in wood. Quite tasty. Reminds of Flemish sour ales. Sort of. Maybe of RR stuff. Sort of.

Bottled. This was one downright funky, dirty cider, and I loved every second of it. Super funky, dirty sock, musty cellar, oxidized and cheese aroma. Ace. The flavor holds up, adding a mild sweetness in the mid with a very musky, wild finish. Super drinkable. Excellent.
