Tasted many times over the past couple of years, this is one of my favorite ciders. This bottle came from Midtown. Pours hazy dark yellow with no head. The nose is more sour apple than anything else, but there is a bit of tart lemon and it definitely has some funky yeast to it. The flavor is the same, very dry with some tannic structure, green apple, tart lemon, with a ton of funky barnyard and cheesy yeast. The body is light with a bit of carbonation and a long funky tart apple finish.

Visual: (cellared for 1 year). Plastic wrapped top, real cork. Pours clear pale yellow with no head, large bubbles along the glass wall, bubbles sporadically surfacing. Large sediment settled in the bottle.

Nose: tangy woody apple cider vinegar (lvl-9)-pungency

Attack: virtually flat CO2, very subtle tingly, sour-acidic impression

Mid-palate: (lvl-2-sweetness), huge wet woodiness, apple cider vinegar, big puckery sour pukey funk, subtle green apple

Finish: tart dryish, lingering woody apple juice exhale

Summary: This one is too aggressive pukey sour and is lacking in firm crispness in the entry. Too much vinegar and not enough apple coming through.

Very fruity, funky flavours, some barnyard, zesty apple. Slightly hazy, pale gold, hardly any head. Light bigger. Dry, funky apples continue, apple tart, soft carbonation, medium bodied, dry, bitter, tarty finish. A dry apple wine, interesting and complex. Bottle at Sardine, Hoxton.

26.09.2016, 0,375l bottle @ home:
No head, slightly hazy yellowish color. Aroma is slightly dry and funky fruity, apple peel, hay, mild brett, oak, minerals, old cellar, dry apples, flowers, sour grass, apple cores. Taste is slightly sour-ish funky, apple cores, hay, minerals, mild brett, sour grass, apple peel, oak, dry apples, hints of mild vinegar. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish mouthfeel, more or less no carbonation. Fair enough.

Bottle at Shnoodlepip, London. Clear pale yellow color, no head. Nice fruity apple beer, funky, grapes, some apple zest. Fruity apple flavor, caramel, some funk. A bit thin, i was hoping for more after that amazing aroma.

37.5cl bottle. Pours almost clear pale yellow colour. Aroma of ripe mild tart apples, some wood. Taste of dry tart apples, wood, vinegar, interesting!

Tap @ Grünerløkka Brygghus. Unclear yellow body with low carbonation and a very small white head. Aroma is mild, green apple, hint of lemon and slightly funky. Flavor is refreshing sour apple, medium acidic for a Sidra, some lemon, light wood and some funk. Light bodied with a long lasting acidic apple aftertaste. Not the most complex farmhouse impression, not the most sour sample either, but nice and refreshing. Always nice to sample a fresh Sidra.

Bottle. Clear yellow whit light white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is funky horse dung, apples, and hay. Taste is green apples, lemon tartness, and light funk. Finishes dry and bitter. There is almost zero sweetness to this which gives it a dry clean finish. Really nice, and very interesting.

Bottle @ Home. Sort of a champagne color here and very little foam, even with a vigorous pour. Pretty funky stuff. A lot of herbs, some plastic, and bright fruit driven acidity of grape, apple, and citrus peel. Maybe a little bit of a musty quality and definitely some barnyard. Woody, damp, and earthy, yet still crisp and fruity. Interesting stuff.

Bottle shared at home with Teresa. 37.5cl corked bottle, produced May 2015, 6%. Hazy yellow, still, no head. Aroma is Haribo sweets, yellow plums, sour notes, some lime sherbet and a little wood. Body is medium to light, soft carbonation, smooth. Taste is apple, some more yellow plum, watery dimension, pretty dry and a touch acidic, lightly woody. Refreshing yet dry. Good.
