COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Heavily roasted black and chocolate malts are added to our Pale base malt to create a uniquely bitter and rich finish to our Stout. With a rich, coffee-like texture and a dry and smooth finish, it’s the perfect winter companion with any of our winter oyster dishes. And if that weren’t enough, it makes the perfect black and tan along with our Pale Ale.

04/04/2014 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Nera, densa, schiuma biancastra sporca media. Al naso sentori di malti tostati, caffé, cioccolato fondente 90%, sentori di bruciato, non male. In bocca è decisamente secca, di discreta sostanza, nonostante la facile beva, caffettosa, leggero cioccolato fondente 90%, amara nel finale. Corpo è esile, leggermente watery, carbonazione bassa. Discreta.

Tap at Gar Eden. Dark brown colour, with golden creamy head. Aroma is nice and roasty, touch of sweetness. Taste is coffee, cream, vanilla, bit fruity too, bit burnt, kola kubes. Pretty nice. Quite smooth. Slight bitterness at end.

500ml bottle pours black in color with a finger of beige head that retains well and leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark roasted malts with some hints of coffee and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt bitterness balanced with chocolate malty sweetness with very little hop presence. Body is a little thin for the style and carbonation is light. Would be an excellent stout if it had more fullness to the body, but still a very enjoyable brew.
