I’ve had from a bottle poured into a glass and at the brewery. It’s a lot better from tap than from bottle. But not a great IPA.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt exotic fruits, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, hops, spices, and lemons, leasing to a bitter finish.

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of orange, pine, slight sweet fruity notes into a hint of slight herbs, more biscuit, caramel notes. Taste was a mix of orange, grapefruit, slight sweet jam into some bready, caramel, slight herbs, finishing slightly bitter.

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Firestone restaurant pint glass From: BevMo! in Santa Barbara, Calif. Price: N/A (someone else bought it) Purchased: April 19, 2014 Consumed: April 28, 2014 Misc.: Born on tag on bottom of March 12, 2014; I originally rated this as a pale ale, but after reading the other reviews and checking their website, apparently this is an IPA Poured a caramel, copper, mostly clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki white head. Minimal lacing along the sides of the glass. Below average-to-minimal retention on the top. Smelled Cascade hops, pine, citrus hops, floral notes, caramel, faint buttery notes, lemon, rye and honey wheat. Tasted pretty close to the smell. Just a little more bitter and dry. Got honey malts, caramel, citrus notes, floral hops, Cascade hops and rye. Light-to-medium body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, slightly bitter finish. Well this would have been a pretty good pale ale. I don’t see how it is an IPA, but I adjusted my ratings accordingly.

Bottle. Dry bitter hops with no pine and musty malt in the aroma. Taste is bitter hops with sweet malt. Silghtly watery mouthfeel. Rough product.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2015 Tap, orange pour, white head, nose and taste are citrus and hoppy, pretty good

Interesting to see such bad reviews for this. Not sure if people had bad bottles or what. I had it on tap and thought it was definitely sessionable. Had nice hop profile and not very bitter.

Pours an orange/light amber color with a white head. Candied citrus peel, toasted bread, and some floral hop aromas. A very minimal pine note as well as some grass. The flavor is certainly sweet. Bread, toasted malt, and toffee are prominent. Candied orange peel, a little bit of peach, and some tropical fruit add to the sweetness. Minimal bitterness, a hint of grass, and that’s about it.

Reviewed from notes. Poured into a tulip. Color is a moderate orange color with almost no head and certainly not too much lacing at all. The nose is some really, rally light caramel with basically no hop presence at all. The flavor is really quite light with a bit of bread. Feel has no bitterness and only the tiniest bit of sweetness. No real reason to drink this. Nearly a drainpour. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-12-2010

terrible beer. Im sure it would taste somewhat better on tap, however; it is just not balanced. I would just drive on past this brewery. I was hoping for more from this local beer, but luckily this is not the only option for me as there are several other great breweries nearby.
