Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Cloudy orange. fruity nose with peach, plastic and chalk. Sweetish with light body. Like most Islay ales it is predominantly chalky - here with an addition of plastic and rubber. Peachy hops before a finish with some chemical bitterness. Quite unpleasant.

500ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper with an off white head. Nose is very bready, rye, brown and some caramel sweetness. Touch of spice and white pepper in the aroma too. Silky and light going down. Fantastic water quality. Taste is rye bread, caramel, earthy, zingy lemon and grapefruit peel bitterness. There is a bit of a smoked vibe going on here I think too. Very refreshing and tasty session ale.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2017 Not as bad as people make it out to be here! Aroma and Flavours are restrained but the beer is nicely bitter and has an interesting nutty and caramel note. A little peaty note. I don?t agree with the bad ratings.

500ml bottle from Scottish Real Ale Shop, Kilmahog. Pours clear amber, thin foamy off-white head. Aroma is sourish leafy malts. Taste is lightly sour, lightly metallic, lightly leathery, finishing dry. Not great.

Little aroma to speak of, slight malts. Taste metalic, slight citrus. Very wattery. Perhaps a bad bottle. This got chucked

Bottle at the Jurancon Hotel in Craighouse. Appearance - deep brown with a lovely fluffy head. Nose - sweet malt, light toffee and nuts. Taste - like cereal saturated in milk. More of the light toffee note. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - I’d say this was more in the Scottish Ale style than Bitter. Solid enough.

500ml bottle at home, from Aldi, Prestwick Toll (bb 30 Sep 2016), weak resinous, woody aroma, chestnut brown with no head, flavour as aroma with a slightly sour finish, odd flavour.

Flaska. Klar bärnstensfärgad öl med ett litet smutsvitt skum. Dofter av malt, karamell och örter. Smakinslag av citrus, karamell och örter. Lätt beska i avslutningen. Mjuk munkänsla.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 13, 2015
Bottled (from AbM, old backlog). Hazy amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is mild wood, fruits, sulphur, some metal and mild leathery notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, sulphur, mild leather and some light bitterness. Quite much like Saligo, but a bit darker in colour.

Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 25, 2015
Bottle at Yespr’s - Thanks. Cloudy amber - white head. Berries, youghurt, grape fruit, liight malty, sour, sour berries, off - no thanks.
