COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The colour comes from dark roasted barley, balanced with just the right amount of sweet, rolled oatmeal. We mill both right here in the brewery, giving us complete control over flavour and freshness. The true taste of malt shines through, balanced by the sweetness of pure Scottish heather honey.

Darkest brown with almost no head. Aroma is slightly oxidized, dark chocolate, some butter, some honey. Taste is incredibly dry, some tannins, roasted malt on the tongue. Still enjoyable.

500ml bottle as Skye Black. More dark brown than black. Aroma is caramel, honey, coffee & fruit. The taste is similar with medium sweetness and light bitterness with a little sourness on the finish. Quite complex flavours, a little watery on the palate. Very good though.
