Any first impressions?
-A creamy sheet of foam covers the glowing garnet clarity.
-Cherries and cranberries revolve around the distinct caramel in the nose.
-Distinguished caramel continues its dominance once tasted, with fruity undertones shifting shapes.
-The well-extracted maltiness and soothing carbonation produce a comforting mouthfeel.

What if you dig deeper?
-The drying bready finish does have a few supporting hops.
-Roastiness broadens the malt’s reach.
-When perfectly tendered, this malty scottish ale has a balanced flavor profile and interesting complexity which grew on me at the second pint.

On cask at the Bosville Hotel, and The Isles Inn, both in Portree.

Bottled (thanks GarethYoung!). Dark brownish amber colour with nice beige head, lacing. Aroma is nuts, fruity and flowery hops, with slightly roasted malts being there all the time. Flavour is nuts, roasted malts and fruits. Pleasant bitterness, as it is very smooth. Finish and aftertaste is flowery hops along with roasted malts.
