Pours deep amber with a small tan head that dissipates. Classic amber in aroma and taste. Caramel malt with a tough of battering hops. A bit of alcohol bite. Medium mouthfeel. Not bad.

16oz bottle. A bit skunky smell. Very hoppy for an Amber. Overly bitter aftertaste. Would not get again.

Glass at an airport restaurant in Albuquerque. Rating 10 to make this one count.

Dark amber pour with a coarse unattractive head of mottled color. Vegetal nose, caramel malt, and a terrible industrial stale aroma. Yikes. Flavor isnt much better. Grains dominate, plenty of caramel, sort of an ESB thing going on here, metallic hops. Drinkable because of the easy-going mouthfeel, but only just.

Bottle:   Deep amber, small to moderate frothy off-white head, spotty lacing.   Slight overcooked vegetable on the nose.   Otherwise very light caramel and bready notes.   Very soft breadiness on the tongue.   Thankfully not as dank or vegetal as the nose suggested.   Smooth, with very mild sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Very slight nutty and biscuit notes come out on the finish, especially as it warms.   Somewhat redeemed itself in the end.   The aroma aint the best tho.

Bottle @ the Great Best Wesern Las Cruces tasting of 2013 with yarn connoisseur, Rachel. Pours a hazy dark reddish orange appearance with a small, off white head. Toasty malty, nutty, caramel, a bit herbal aroma. Slightly fruity, light citrusy, caramel, light toffee, nutty flavor. Bleh.

Amber in color, small white head. Aroma is malty, flavor is a bit sweet. Decent amber ale, superior to the Isotopes AAA Blonde. Best beer you can get at the stadium.

From notes 9/2006. Pours amber of course. I was surprised at how much I liked this brew. While I cant say it will be an all time favorite, it would definitely be the type that I would get for a weekend or a party or something along those lines. The flavor has a somewhat sweet edge to it that never drops off and stays constant. The body is thicker with a heavy tone to it. This isnt a cheap brew and actually tastes well. I will say thought that I am sure its quality has a lot to do with the fact that it is locally brewed and I bought it about 5 miles away from the brewery.

Very surprised. I expected a watered down ale for ballpark fans of the Simpsons. Medium body on this, very slight bitter. Nice mouthfeel, and a very balanced taste. Nothing overwhelming in any direction. A great ale to chug at the stadium when everyone else is sipping their Miller Lights.
