Bomber. Pours ruddy copper with a two-finger foamy beige head. Aromas of roast malt and mild hop. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is slightly harsh roast malt with some decent bitter. Seems like grapefruit rind. The finish is primarily bitter. I’ve had IPAs that were less bitter. Not a killer brew, but a very tasty one. It has little spice/pepper notes. Goes down easy. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Bottle:   Amber, a little dark, large pillowy off-white head, sticky lacing.   Pale hop nose, signature
Rogue malt aroma.   Pale bitterness on the tongue, malty, a little cereal but fairly clean.   Comes across as
a little watery, like a watered down IPA.   Very Pale Aleish.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Decent
balance, soft bitterness to match the pale malts.   A little Pale Ale, a little Amber Ale.   Better than what
I was expecting, but wasn’t expecting anything fantastic either. JK (6146) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - MAR 12, 2011

MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering, January 29, 2011. Copper color with a small head. Light vegetable aroma. Very vegetal flavor. Light bitterness, mild malt. BillKismet (4057) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 27, 2010
Salmon-amber body with a dense poofy, lightly tanned head with streams of constant, roe-sized bubbles rising to feed it. Very pungent nose of malt and hops, some candi-sugar and bubblegum notes as well. Malty and fruity body, packs a lot of flavor. Defined by toasty malts. A well-defined amber ale.

thanks to dazzle for this. Faintly hoppy aroma on this golden pour. A mild, slightly sweet ale. Actually very good for rogue. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - JAN 29, 2011
Bottle. Clear dark yellow pour, some lacing and an aroma of slight hops, malt, mellow herbs. Flavor was bitter, malt, and a some slightly off putting flavors. Was hoping this would be better, but it was regrettably bad. Trev (2023) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JAN 30, 2011

9/3/09 from 22oz Bottle. Aroma is excellent and highly unique. You first catch a sweet cream/vanilla note, and as you press your nose further into the glass you catch caramel, Vienna roast and light peppery notes. Appearance is clear copper with a fluffy cream colored head. Flavor is more roast dominant, but still with substantial sweetness and a more floral medium bittering than one would expect from the aroma. Mouthfeel is medium-high bodied with a medium carb texture and light graininess. Overall, a deceptively complex beer that rewards those who pay attention to their palate and taste with their nose.
