Etched glass bottle. Pours gold white head. Nose/taste of apple juice, cardboard, candy sugar and doughy yeast. Medium body. Maybe, my bottle was too old?

bhensonb (15969) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 18, 2007
Draft at the Astoria alehouse. Belgian spice aroma. Golden amber color with a white lacing head. Medium to full in body with creamy carbonation. Starts sweet with spice that is neither clove nor cardamom. Tastes complex. Persistent though. Sweet into the finish. Seems high alcohol (based on senses other than taste). Very pleasant, but seems likely to be deadly. Good sipper.

750 ml capped and corked green bottle poured a hazy golden amber with a small lingering white head. Aromas of yeast, pear, spice and pepper. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a warming finish. Flavors of carmel, yeast, pear and light spice with a smooth warming lingering sweet fruity finish.

Draft at the Dilly Deli. Pours a hazy golden color with a moderate frothy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Good spicy sweet fruity aroma. Medium body with a slick texture. Full complex flavor with medium smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Very interesting soft brew.

Dogbrick (14316) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 3, 2008
Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. This beer pours a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a minimal white head that is gone quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and wheat, plus some tart fruit and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of wheat, sweet honey and sour apple. Yeast is present at times as well. The finish is mildly spiced with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall, but honestly not worth the extravagant packaging.
