Dogbrick (13036) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 3, 2008
Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Jungle Jim’s. This beer pours a mostly clear yellow-gold color with a minimal white head that is gone quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and wheat, plus some tart fruit and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of wheat, sweet honey and sour apple. Yeast is present at times as well. The finish is mildly spiced with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall, but honestly not worth the extravagant packaging.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy golden orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, coriander, banana, and biscuit. Flavor of apple, coriander, candi sugar, and plenty of alcohol. I believe the abv must be wrong (much higher).

"wow, the ratings for this one are all over the place. Surprisingly, i’m going to be closer to the top on this one - i thought it was a very tasty beer. based on the lackluster Menage Cherry Frog (2.6) that was based on this brew, i wasn’t expecting much from this one, but i’d dropped $14 on a 750 at the SF Rogue Aleshouse before having the cherry. Well, I think the cherry substantially took away from the flavor of the original brew. the aroma was a touch boozy, but had sweet malt and belgian yeast and spices, alongside a fruity character. the feel was great. slightly thick, but not cloyingly so-went down smooth. the flavor was a fairly complex sweet mix of malt, yeast, bubblegum, candy, and subtle belgian spices. nice finish and nice beer. well done."

j12601 (12000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - OCT 4, 2009
Bottle thanks to Trevor at Peter’s tasting. Pours a clear hazy orange gold with a thin white head. Light plum and esters. Medium bodied, sweet, light candy and plum. Finishes a bit sweet with a very light bitterness. Not entirely balanced.

hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 14, 2007
Bottle.... Hazy, light golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The complex nose is spicy and woodsy with lots of grain, coriander phenols and bread... lightly acidic. The flavor is woodsy with moderate pungency, lightly sweet with mild spiciness (coriander phenols). Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes grainy, tangy and dry.

DocLock (10706) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 2, 2007
Bottle from State Line. Turbid golden pour with 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of funky bready malt, barnyardy hay, tart fruit, hops, and some unwashed female asscrack hints. The flavor was tart, fruity, funky yeasty, with bready malt and finishing hopcitrus. It got pretty tart at the end, approaching a sort of saison/lambic/tripel hybrid.

cubs (10636) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Bottle @ Dan’s house. Not much head when poured. Clear, golden orange appearance with a small white head. Very tangy, orange fruity, bready yeasty, richly fruity aroma. Slightly boozy, bready, almost cloying, sugary, orange citrusy flavor. Noticeable alcohol. Some oxidation which I guess isn’t too surprising, as this bottle is probably two years old. Not horrible but it was way too expensive for the quality.

BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JAN 18, 2009
TAP: at the Happy Gnome (St. Paul, MN) on 1.17.09. Gold/amber color, small foam head. Some citrus and hop on the nose. Taste is bread, caramel, raisin, tangy citrus. Nice tripel, but light on spice.

DuffMan (10436) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 9, 2011
Bottle, shared with Parksy while watching NFL quarter finals. Hazy dark golden yellow, lackluster head that retains poorly. Aroma is sweet barley candy, almonds, honey, and spices. Flavours of sweet pale malts, dried hay and flowers (chamomile), medium spices. Finish is a tad hot with alcohol. Medium bitterness. Just okay for me.
