12-13% At Shirayuki taproom/brewery. A very dramatic pour from a copper kettle that looked like a genie’s lamp from 3 feet up into my ceramic sake glass - cool. The sake itself is a cloudy, almost gray color. Really nice fruity, rice light yeasty aroma. The taste on this is great, I am not a big sake drinker but this has a really light body, silky sweet mouthfeel & tasty complex flavor of rice, sake, fruits, pears, peaches, great for sipping. I really liked this, 120 ml for 420 yen was well worth it.
Probably the nicest sake I’ve had so far. KyotoLefty (10810) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 22, 2012
From a glass tokkuri at the brewery. Could have been from a keg. Cloudy white-grey, a bit thicker than usual. Fruity nose with citrus, gumball, some rubber and a bit of alcohol burn. Sweet and fruity flavor with melon, lemon, peach, and a clean peppery finish. Lightly fizzy, but light and clean. Lovely.
