Cask at the Woodman’s Rest, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with a hint of fruit. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry yeasty blackcurrant fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask from The Three Stags Bebington. Pours back, thick off-white head. Some blackcurrant on the aroma, plus a light malt. Taste is sweet, more blackcurrant, very light hoppiness. The blackcurrant isn’t overpowering. But just a touch watery. gegwilson (3794) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 5, 2014
