Cask at the John Russell Fox (JDW), Andover. Amber with a loose off-white head; tropical fruit aroma; rich, tropical fruit flavour - some pineapple and grapefruit - and immediately dry and bitter; the finish is clean and spritzy, long and dry with a green hopped bitterness typical of NZ hops. An excellent attempt at a southern hemisphere style IPA. The best IV ale I’ve tried.

Cask at the South Western Arms - St Denys (So’ton) - 09/09/12. Golden blonde with a thin slightly off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, hops. Taste largely follows nose with a slightly perfumed/floral finish and some hop presence. Medium bodied with minimum to moderate carbonation lending to a dry fnish. Wasn’t expecting too much from yet another English brewers IPA but this was a pleasant surprise and I’d happily have again!

Cask conditioned handpump Mudlark London. A golden beer with an off-white skim of head. Sweetish tropical fruits throughout. Quite bitter and sharp. The nos is more pleasant than the taste with is too harsh and lacks balancing malts. Could do better.

Cask @ Curlers Rest. A brand new beer. Fruity malt aroma. Reddish brown colour with a good head. Spicy tropical fruit flavour. Smooth & creamy. A new one & good one.
