Cask. Amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruits, some sour wooden notes, cinnamon, fruits as well as mild resin. Flavour is wood, cinnamon, some caramel and toffee. a_cross (639) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2014
Bottle; as St Nick’s Tipple, and at 5.3% (but I assume it’s the beer listed here!); very dark, just a hint of amber glow around the edges; no head; aroma of dark chocolate; taste is smooth bitter dark chocolate and coffee, dark fruits; mouthfeel is quite light for a stout but this makes it easy to drink; I liked it. imdownthepub (15528) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Crown, Oxford. Amber with slight head. Rough, tart, over fruity, sour cherries but in a bad way. Nicholson’s are now charging £3:55 a pint in here and serve beer this bad, sorry but not good enough.
