Draft served in a pint glass at The Nines in Ithaca. Pours a deep orange color, just a little cloudy, with a tiny off-white head that doesn’t last at all. The aroma needs a little warming to emerge and when it does it brings nutmeg, brown sugar, graham crackers, and cinnamon. The flavor hits the same not with only a slight hint of anything vegetal. Light-bodied, with a sweet, malty mouthfeel with mellow spice and moderate carbonation. Solid pumpkin ale. Nice to try it fresh and local.

On tap at Dutch’s... First pour from the keg. Completely cloudy kind of light brown color (which I’m sure will clear out in subsequent pours). Thin off-white head, leaving great thicker lace. Up front in the nose, great pumpkin, pumpkin spice, and a bit of citrusy hop aroma. In the flavor, a pretty impressive malt balance... Good chocolate, mild caramel, and a bit of that honey malt in there. Medium plus body.. Very smooth and easy-drinking. Crisp lighter carbonation, light chewiness to the body, more dry finish. Kind of a spicier taste towards the finish, mild to moderate bitterness, moderate sweet taste. Pretty solid, enjoyable pumpkin ale. Up front, I was loving this. It was my first pumpkin beer of the year, so my palate was ready. Maybe I needed a beer too, at the moment. Halfway through the spice started to show up a lot more and grind on the overall package a bit, and I slowed down. Still a very a solid, enjoyable pumpkin beer.

Draft. Pours amber orange with a thin off white head. Light nutmeg, sweet malts, and pumpkin sweetness. Relatively restrained in the spice department, with low bitterness throughout. Pretty good.

My first pumpkin beer of the season so I can’t start complaining yet. And this one’s actually decent with nice integration of clove, ginger and gourd. Pours orange with a little head and lacing. Average carbonation. Finishes slightly sweet from malt and spice. Tap at brewpub.

12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy, burnt orange with a ring of sticky, slightly off white head. Nose is what you’d expect, cinnamon, nutmeg, some brown sugar, some white pepper, some roasted squash, a little candy. Flavor follows right along, canned pumpkin puree, cinnamon, brown sugar, ginger, all spice. Spicy finish. What you’d expect.

12 ounce thanks to Ed. Amber. Lots of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very much a pumpkin beer. Bit of brown sugar carries taste to the end.

12oz bottle - brought by friend. Poured a orange-copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was pumpkin pie notes, okay pumpkin notes, light maple sweetness. Flavor had nutmeg and cinnamon notes. Light pumpkin. Decent.

12oz bottle purchased at Crafted Drafts. Clear orange pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and malt. Malty flavor with cinnamon and ginger before a spicy finish.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a murky orange-caramel color with a trace white head that faded instantly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet cinnamon sugar, nutmeg and a hint of toasted caramel. The flavor was sweet caramel, bread, cinnamon and nutmeg. Long sweet caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg finish. Moderately full bodied though a bit undercarbonated. Ok.

[Bottle (355ml).] Pours a hazy, very bubbly orange-copper with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices and malt along with a hint of pumpkin and that’s pretty much it. Slightly watery flavour of spices, pumpkin, caramel malt and a moderate spicy finish. Light to average bodied. A decent Pumpkin Ale.
