On tap at Capone’s, our first stop on the RBSG bus. Pours a deep black with a large beige to tan head. Big roast, chocolate, coffee, light hops on the nose. A touch sour, but not much, just very bright with loads of roast. Touches of sweet chewy roast, lots of malt, chocolate, long chocolate and roast. Excellent.

Growler. Pours a dark brown with a brown head that lasts throughout the beer and laces nicely. Aroma is full of earthy malts with a bit of wood, funk and a good amount of roast and toast notes. Flavor begins with a slight sour red fruit backed by dark grains, but the finish is full of dark grains and roasted malts. Interesting and pretty enjoyable.
