From bottle, Papsoes blindtasting #26. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Vanilla and powdery aroma, light yeasty, citric and wheaty too. Citric and orange fruity flavoured. High carbonation mouthfeel. Light citric and dry finish. A bit too simplistic.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt, vinegar, and wood. The flavor is sweet with ligth notes of wood and lemon, leading to a tart finish.

[email protected] pre-gbbf shindig 2012. Slightly hazy orange colour with a minor head. Aroma is sour wood, some caramel, mild burnt sugar, yeast and some slight citrusy notes. Flavour is being rather similar with some mild tartness as well. Not the most dry wild ale, but a nicely balanced brew nonetheless.

Bottle courtesy of Greg at Birreria Paradiso. Hazy yellow orange with a fluffy white head that disappears slowly to leave good lacing. Aroma of citrus, vinegar and light spice. Flavor has grapefruit sourness, some funk, and decent malt. Very full body.

Bottle shared with the Kernel crew at the brewery. Cloudy gold beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Light crisp palate. Semi dry with stinging carbonation. Pleasantly sour. A little citrus. Nice champagne like feel to this matched with a winey finish. Pretty bloody good!

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2009
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Miver. Pours a hazy yellow with an off-white head. Lightly tart aroma. Medium body, dry malty accents with a fairly dry and lightly tart finish. Not really convincing. 010509

Bottle. Pours light, hazy yellow with a foamy, white head. Aroma holds plenty of acid, along with barnyard funk, berry sweet notes and mild yeast. Flavor has short fruit/citrus sweetness followed by pronounced brett, wood, and sourness. Light to medium in body with potent, tingly carbonation. Finishes tart with some lingering acid. Very good.
