Bottle thanks to exiled. Pours with a brown body and an off-white head. Aroma of vanilla and coffee, french roast. Intense. Taste is a lot of coffee, chocolate. very decadent coffee. Creamy carbonation. Pretty tasty. Dogbrick (13026) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 7, 2010
This Stout pours a brownish-black color with a medium beige head that diminishes to an outer ring eventually. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and grainy malt plus a bit of chocolate. Medium, somewhat creamy body with a roasted character and flavors of coffee, chocolate malt and mild hops. The finish is semi-sweet chocolate and coffee with a lingering roasty aftertaste. Pretty good overall. deyholla (11606) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2010
Sampled from the bottle at the 2010 March Metro Detroit tasting. Poured a hazy dark brown with a brown head. Aroma had some oxidation and had notes of soy sauce and coffee. Flavor again had notes of salt and coffee making for an awkward combination. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2010
Sample from RBWG. Pours dark brown with a khaki head. Nose is roast, earth, coffee, slight lactose-esque sweetness. Flavor is similar with cafe con leche, roast, malt, milk sweet, and a slightly thin body. Very enjoyable. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - APR 3, 2010
Bottle. Black pour with some dissipating tan head. Well i can understand why this beer got ithaca in trouble about caffeine levels, because its dominated by roasted coffee. Awesome coffee stout, milk stout base makes for a creamy roasty coffee experience.

nice looking champagne bottle that could be easily passed as wine rather than beer. pours black with tan head that disappears quickly. lots of visible carbonation. nose is dark roast coffee and pepsi. also a hint of soy sauce and carmel. taste is HEAVY coffee with a little smoked wood afternotes. An excellent coffee stout that reminds me of barley island’s black majic java stout. wiih this bitch was available in minnesota. fiver29 (1036) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - MAR 28, 2010
Bottle pours black with light tan head. It was poured room temp. I’m glad it was poured that way, too. Aroma is dominated by coffee and roasted grains. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is dark roasted coffee with a slight coffee chocolate finish. This is really good. I highly recommend drinking at room temp. smith4498 (3647) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 22, 2010
RBWG 2010. Pours dark brown with tan head. Aromas of coffee, burnt malts and chocolate. Strong coffee aroma with roasty malts and some chocolate. Medium body with mild carbonation. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 18, 2010
750ml from MrChopin - thanks, Kevin! I tried to hold off on this one but had to crack it recently. Very intense aroma of fresh oily bean and deep chocolate malts, roasted well. Oily looking sludge pour with a medium head, good retention. Mouthfeel was nice too, lactic with a pleasingly dry finish. But the flavor was off to me. Even though the other qualities keep the score relatively high, there was a sort of spoiled milk and ash thing that kept creeping in. Still a 6, but barely hanging on there. Maybe other bottles tasted better? Enjoyable even so, but could’ve been a knockout. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 18, 2010
25.4 oz bottle. Dark brown with a spongy tan head that fades. Nose is coffee bean and hay with hints of dark chocolate and licorice. Medium to full body with a tang. Taste is espresso bean and cocoa with a grassy finish.
