A Continental Breakfast Lager brewed with European Malt, Hops, and locally roasted Gimme! Coffee. It is fermented with a German lager yeast and then, just before bottling, freshly pulled espresso shots are added at an alarming rate. Enjoy the deep, dark color, intense aroma, assertive flavors of mocha and toast, and brisk but smooth finish.

Poured a dark black and tasted like chocolate and coffewith some hops mixed in. It seemed to me to be more of a stout than a double bock. I expected the caffeine in the espresso to keep me awake, however I didn’t notice that it was present. This was a very nice beer that my son shared with me. I would definately try this again (if he buys it!)

Bitter coffee on the nose. Coffee flavor a decidedly bock malt profile. Sweet, but a little light on the body. Dark Brown color

Shared by brewfiend and sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-hazy dark brown brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissolves. Aroma of vinegared coffee that over powers any caramel malt or hops. Maybe a touch of molasses and yeast. Taste is medium bodiec, lightly carbonated with more bitter coffee than beer flavor. Finish is semi-dry with a sour coffee aftertaste. Interesting brew.

Bottle shared with mds, HogTownHarry, blankboy and tupalev - blankboy’s bottle. Dark ruby with a tan head. Aroma of dark espresso and a bit of cocoa. Flavour is very nice - coffee and malt, with a slight charred character. Very unique, and pretty good - assuming you like coffee, of course.

I didn’t realize this was a bock. Whatever the style, it is a very good coffee beer. Exceptionally smooth palate. Coffee aroma and coffee flavor balanced by sweet malt. Black, and very little carbonation. Thanks Brewfiend.

Thanks to Brewfiend for sharing. Dark brown color with a thin head. Very bitter coffee aroma. This coffee turns a little sour in the taste. Fairly sweet malty body. The dopplebock doesn’t seem to have meshed all that well with the coffee. Still pretty decent.

Thanks to Brewfiend for sharing. Pours a nice brownish black color. Nice coffee on the nose, but it is not overpowering. There is a little chocolate present as well. Very powerful coffe flavor, but it tastes a little like day old coffee. Not really that impressive to me.

Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, mds and tupalev - blankboy’s bottle. Slightly hazy ruby pour, smallish frothy tan head. Weird, weak aroma - dry, acidic coffee grounds - nearly sour - somewhat grainy (like wort) with weak herbal hops. Taste - more stout-like, quite roasty and dry, solid grain character and tons of watery coffee. Light body, quite oily on the palate, flat, acid, and detectable alcohol in the finish. This is an oddball, but on balance I quite liked it; COFFEE LAGER!!

My bottle (750ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, tupalev & mds. Pours a very dark brown with ruby hues and an average size diminishing off-white head. Aroma of espresso and light chocolate. Flavour’s also espresso along with roasted malt, light hops, caramel and sweet chocolate. Medium bodied. Pretty good, I liked it.

Although Alesmith Speedway Stout is the original, this would go great in a vertical tasting. Smooth and the 7.2% abv is serviceable, I shared out quite a bit at Cole’s from my bomber. Dark black, chocolate, coffee, tasty and enjoyable.
