COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial American Extra Strong and Special Double Red Ale. Our anniversary beer, TEN is brewed with too many malts to list and an excess of American hops, including several additions during fermentation. Enjoy the russet color, aggressively hoppy aroma and flavor, rich body and fiery finish.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and hops as well as light notes of wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and wood, as well as lighter notes of vanilla and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry woody finish.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2010 Bottle at home Batch E!009... Thanks to Beer Bill and My Secret Santa for this one ... copper off white bubbly head ... big bright american hop nose with a little spice ... big sweet fruityness ... toffee and vanilla ... light spice ... medium heavy body ... bitter linger ... definitly a bit boozy ...

TK2 at home the Day after Jan left ... copper brown ... big pine hop nose... sweet spicy hop ... creamy vanilla ... definite alcohol... im tempted to up the score as its going great with the Curry... but in the end i think i might strugle a bit with this on its own.

Cloudy red-brown beer. Initially a little unsatisfying as I was expecting something more very hoppy. But this beer gradually wins you over with it’s charms. Malty and very smooth and there is enough hop here to get your bitterness receptors salivating! A balanced red beer then!

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Storm. Pours a hazy and opaque orangey brown with a dense, creamy beige head leaving laces. Fat aroma of hops and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied, a little low in carbonation, lots of overripe fruit and a load of aroma hops. Fairly bitter finish. 290509

Blind tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy amber color; medium creamy head. Nice American hop aroma, partially fruity and then resiny, a bit sweaty. Strong caramel flavor, a bit fruity and sweaty. The body is well structured, it has a very good caramel flavor, with good sweetness level, nice alcohol warmth, strong hopping, resiny and a bit fruity. Long and strong final. Excellent.

Hazy amber-red. Some tangerine/apricot hop aroma with chewy crystal malts and maybe a hint of chocolate. Kind of fizzy, though that helps with the body, which would otherwise be kind of sticky. Some fruitiness in the finish. It’s ok, but it certainly doesn’t distinguish itself in any way.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown with off white head. Nose/taste of rich malt, toffee, grass, sweet sticky caramel and sweet tea. Medium body. Finishes slightly dry and slight grassy/pine. Still very tasty.
