YES! Thanks to the Foodery in Philly, I’ve now ticked the last 4 beers in Ithaca’s anniversary series. It’s difficult to understate the great sense of personal fulfillment and self-satisfaction I feel regarding this monumental accomplishment. 750ml bottle. Brilliant slightly hazy golden pour with a huge sticky, clingy white head. Great aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, floral and herbal notes, and some sweet malt. The flavor has a honeyish doughy pale malt base, orange, pineapple, mango, lemongrass, and floral/spicy notes. Very tasty. Smooth, soft, airy mouthfeel, which makes this very easy to drink for the ABV. This beer is like a not-very-poor man’s version of another great beer I recently had, Charlevoix Dominus Vobiscum Lupulus. The name’s much easier to say though. UPDATED: APR 5, 2011 750 ml bottle opened for the NCAA National Championship from TheEpeeist. Thanks, Chris! Pours a glowing orange golden pour, a good glow, well hazed, and a frothy moderate offwhite moving towards beige head, sticks around as a good cake, nice lacing. Some sediment comes with it. Aromas are a nice blast of fairly fresh hops, citrusy lemons and oranges mix with grapefruit, florals and dry cut lemongrass. Light bubblefum, flaked wheat, more lemons and dry citrus zest. A good blast of citrus with the citrus forward hops AND peel additions. A light yeasty life, but fairly mellow, wheat and bready doughy malts beneath. Quite a bitter citrusy bite on the nose. Initial is medium bodied, a firm up front, as into the middle a strong bitterness, dry grass and a lot of lemon, it seems the Sorachi Ace takes the dominant appeal, dry lemons, florals, bread dough, grass and more florals. A dry beer, into the finish some more citrus shows up, flowers, bread dough, flaked wheat. Really a lasting citrus forward hop feel with florals and grass.Fairly clean for being bigger, big bitter and citrus, ABV well hidden though. A good display of these hops for a bigger beer like this. Sweetness stays beneath it, very dry on the palate, bitter. It’s not complex, the hopping gives it it’s life. I like this, it’s dry and bitter and lasts on the finish and aftertaste. Lighter overall, quite bitter even getting towards astringency a bit perhaps. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 4, 2011
(750ml bottle sampled at Dak’s final four tasting, courtesy of cosmicevan!) Pours a hazy apricot color with a white head Aroma has dried pit fruit, spice and wheat. Taste is sweet malts with some bitterness reminiscent of citrus peel. Medium bodied with a bitter finish. A nice beer! jb (3275) - Rochester, New York, USA - APR 3, 2011
Huge nose of grapefruit and floral hops blasted out of the bottle right after the uncapping. Slight haze, gold, fluffy white head, some retention, thick lacing. Nice silky mouthfeel, small tingly bubbles, nicely balanced with a slight hop blast at the end. Very nice. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - APR 3, 2011
Tap at Cole’s. Pale golden topped by a creamy white head.the nose is loaded with awesome citrusy goodness. There are some yeast/hop floaties in the beer. Bright zesty lemon peel and a bit of light almost noble spice. Lean bodied with a bit of white pepper as well. Zippy and fresh. It’s big but they’ve done a great job of lightening the body and keeping the beer drinkable. Resiny toward the finish. Pretty damn tasty stuff. The bright citrus kind of falls back as it warms, but it’s still pretty good.

Apricot pour, creamy head. Aroma of hops, stone fruit, yeast, bready notes. Flavor is hoppy, yeasty, fruity, bready. Nice. drowland (8831) - Georgia, USA - APR 2, 2011
3/18/11. 750mL bottle courtesy SHIG. Surprisingly yummy aroma of citrus, pine, hops, cat pee, and more. Sweet malty flavor with a hint of tart, citrus, hops, orange peel, Belgian yeast, and more. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - APR 1, 2011
Pours a hazy brownish orange with a foamy off white head that laced. Aroma of orange zest, like lemon hints, mango and other tropical fruits. Flavor of strong notes of orange and lemon zest...wow. So fresh and "zesty". The citra and sorachi hops play so well with the citrus zest. What a wonderful pairing. Malt profile is there with some light sweet notes to help balance this out. However overall the beer is dry, crisp and carbonated. murphym45 (769) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 29, 2011
Had this as a bottle but also fresh from the tap at the brewery. Pours clear orange/gold with a bit of off white head. The aroma is very interesting, with lots of hops, citrus, some earthy notes, lemon and orange come out more after a bit. A bit of malt on the palate to balance things out, light bodied, wheaty, a bit of herbal hops. Dry with a nice bitter finish that isn’t overdone. Ron (4002) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAR 27, 2011
On tap in the breweries tasting room. Had this just minutes after receiving a speeding ticket in Ithaca. @#$%^&* Hazy orange with head and lace. Very citrus hop sweet lemon pastry aroma. Some fruity orange sweetness with fruity and slightly bitter finish. Nice balanced palate. Myself,Dan and the other Dan tasted all 8 beers on tap while Joe(our driver) had Ginger beer. He liked that.
