Picked up a bottle of this while in upstate NY recently. It’s an orange-gold color with a thick fluffy off-white head settling on top. There’s big tropical fruit notes in the aroma; pineapple, coconut, mango, peach. A little straw and caramel malt blend in with a slight medicinal scent lurking. The flavor picks up on that showing lots of coconut and pineapple particularly. A little barnyard funky straw follows with a bitter and dry citrus peel finish. The medicinal thing, as noted in the aroma, tastes kind of like aspirin. It’s not strong or too distracting, thus doesn’t make a big impact, but it’s there. With all the tropical fruit, this does sit a little on the sweet side of things. This is one of those beers I certainly enjoyed, yet kept thinking I should have liked it even more than I did. Something just didn’t quite fit to make it a great beer. PhillyCraft (7709) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Yellow cloudy straw pour. Thick lacing sticks to the glass well. Aromas of apricots, pach, slight farmhouse. Taste is over the top fruity with pineapple, peach oak, sorachi lemon. Everything blends very well. Aftertaste is citrus and sweet honey. Excellent. icky09 (14) - - MAY 17, 2012
Outstanding citrus aromas. Pours a hazy yellow with long lasting head. Draught and bottle are both good ways to get this one. Reynolds314 (3470) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Pours straw golden with big fizzy white head. Aroma is citrus zest, perfumey coconut?, wheat, and herbs. Taste is heavy handed citrus zest with an astringent yeast bitterness, like aspirin. Finishes clean and refreshing which saves the beer for me. A bit too assertive for what it is. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Brewed 2010, aroma of cheap dogfish head malts, taste is malts and very bitter. High acidic profile, just aggressive as hell.

Hazy orange coloured body with a nice, dense thick off-white head. Aroma of bright and pungent hops, alcohol, yeast, sour grapes and a touch of malt - very nice and potent. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive hops up front with a lot of sugars, some malt, some light spices and a touch of pungent yeast flavours. Aftertaste is quite complex at all with a full-bodied alcohol flavour at first, then some pungent hops, a good deal of malt and a nice sweetness to finish it off. Overall, a good and inspiring beer that showcases hops, but has a great other realm of complexity and flavour than most other beers like this actually have. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York, New York (Bowery) on 25-November-2011 for US$11.99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-April-2012. Batch E!016, same as pictured here on RateBeer. Boutip (6483) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - APR 24, 2012
Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of quite intense bitter hops with some floral notes and light pickles notes from the Citra. Taste is a unique mix between some wheat malt with intense notes of bitter hops with light citrus and pickles flavours with some residual sugar also noticeable. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Interesting mix thought dry hops presence is a bit too intense and doesn’t leave much place for the wheat malt base to come through. MrPickles (438) - Waunakee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 7, 2012
750ml Bottle shared by hu5om, thanks Ryan! Hazy golden color with a white head. Sweet malt and yeast flavor that fades slightly in the finish. madvike (3286) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - APR 6, 2012
Bottle shared by hu5om...thanks Ryan! - Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Nose is light herbal hopping, with a sweet honey note and a touch of citrus. A bit of sharpness. Taste is a little more gentle. The hopping is floral and herbal, with a touch of spicing and a light fluffy body. Nice stuff, but didn’t knock my socks off. blankboy (7780) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry, JoeMcPhee, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Feb. 11. Pours a murky orange with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head. Nice aroma with lots of hops, resiny and very citrusy, along with pale malt. Hoppy flavour, along with wheat, fruit and light alcohol. Average bodied. Very good.
