Thanks to Adam for the bottle. Hazy orange pour. Off white head that slowly fizzles to a fine film that leaves loads of spotty lace. Floral notes with a blast of orange zest. Light grainy character with soft bitterness. Pine and grapefruit StefanSD (2468) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JUL 28, 2009
12 oz bottle courtesy of secret santa. Thanks Rudy. Pours a translucent copper color with a small white head. The aroma is inviting with floral notes, chlorophyll, citrus (particularly oranges) and some pine. The flavor is biter hops forward with pine, citrus, biter walnuts and caramel malts. The mouthfeel is full and buttery with lively carbonation. The finish is long with lingering biter hops. Overall: A very respectable IPA, love the aroma in particular. Sixer purchased at Rozi’s in Lakewood. The aroma of this beer is amazing. It really smells fresh, floral and alive. It doesn’t rush at your with bitter citrus aromas or any hint of alcohol, it just smells naturally floral. It also just mellows as it goes down. It doesn’t have that hop flavor that just attacks the mouth, this is oily, buttery and full of floral flavors. God almighty, this is fantastic. Really solid all around and drinkable. Unlike some beers that rely on loads of carbonation or bitterness to assault your palate, this just speaks to you with its rich floral flavor. dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 28, 2009
On tap iIn a pint glass from Jose Pistolas in CC. Very little head. Aroma of mild pine and grapefruit. Taste was of grapefruit and orange, strong hops but not a west coast hop bomb. Very, very flavorful. Just the right amount of carbonation. I liked the fact that this IPA was very flavorful but not heavy or syrupy. An excellent balance, I’d drink again any time. I never was a huge fan of Ithaca back in college, but this beer and Cascazilla are really changing my mind! beeratarian (242) - cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 27, 2009
A perfect summer thirst quencher for hopheads. Alcohol well hidden. Not much hop bitterness, but nice and floral. Deffinately has some wheat flavor

7/23/2009: Ithaca Flower Power India Pale Ale pours a transluscent gold color with a dense, off-white crown but very little carbonation. The aroma is very fresh and ctirusy and brings to mind Amarillo and Simcoe hops. Subgary toffee malt and citrusy hops dominate the aroma. There are also flavors of grapefruit peel and pine resin. Overall there is a moderate level of bitterness. This medium-bodied beer has an average texture. As far as IPA goes, this is a good, but not great one to try. However, one is enough as there is just something about it that makes it not good enough to warrant having another...

Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate floral, sour citrus and small malt aroma.
Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bitter flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration.
This is a drinkable beer and better then my expectations. tjthresh (1873) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - JUL 23, 2009
Pours rusty orange with an off white sticky head. Robust nose with a well blended bouquet of sticky hops and sweet and toasted malts. The flavor is well balances with citrus and malts sweetness. There’s a bit of a syrupy mouthfeel with a mild bitterness. 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 23, 2009
This was probably my favorite beer of the evening at the Blue Tusk in Syracuse. Very floral, very. I usually like my hops a little more on the citrus west coast side, but this was damn impressive. Big and bold without being overpowering in any way. Solid beer Ithica, solid beer. jmm635 (1017) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2009
Pours clear and copper with a small white head. Strong citrus aroma. I almost expected to see some orange slices floating in my beer. Decent amount of hops in the nose and on the tongue, with some malty sweetness to round things out. I found this beer refreshing and smooth, although not your typical IPA.
