mgoy (344) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 1, 2009
On tap at Beer Distributors of America in New York. Orange color with a pronounced off white head. The aroma was full of citrus and less pure bitter hops. The taste is the same.

j12601 (12000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 28, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear crimson ruby color with a medium sized beige head that falls off fairly quickly. Big pine and pineapple on the nose, with some caramel, vanilla, and malt, and a touch of booze. Sweet, good hop presence, malty, and a bit boozy. Finishes with a good grapefruit and quinine bitterness.

12 ounce bottle- pours golden with good clarity and head. Strong west coast hop presence- pine, citrus some aspirin character (amarillo hops?)- medium caramel malt background. But mostly a hop delivery IPA. Finishes nice and bitter. Very refreshing IPA.

Bottle from LilBeerDoctor. Really surprised by the lower scores with this one. Really floral, citrusy nose. Flavor was grapefruit and pine. I love grapefruit-like IPA’s. Maybe others don’t? This reminded me of Firestone Walker Union Jack.

BREWMUSKCLES (2687) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2009
a nice bright sweet and clean brew that is ripe with grapefruit. strong and chalky in tastes of grapefruit...did i say that already? nice abv is hardly noticeable and gets a point for that. surprisingly above average and straight in your face. malt seems more herbal and goes along nice with the flavor package. a treat!

3.5
fiver29 (1036) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - JUN 10, 2009
On tap at the Beer Engine. Pours clear darker golden color with off white head. Aroma is pine hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is pine hop with a subtle sweet caramel malt flavor. Finishes dry astringent hop character. Nice brew. Really hoppy.

LilBeerDoctor (3931) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of resiny hops, citrus, grassy and sweaty hops, and iced tea notes. Flavor is rather malty and sweet upfront with resiny hops in the finish. Very similar to Weyerbacher Double Simcoe actually. Some astringency in the palate. Decent IPA. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)
