Reviewed 12/31/2012. Thanks to scottk1969 for the bottle! 12 oz bottle poured into a Duvel artist tulip. Notes from last night’s Skins/Cowboys game. A: Pours a hazy golden color with a bit of yeast sediment floating about. The head is a beautiful two finger creamy white head with fantastic, almost Guinness-like texturing. Good lacing is left on the glass. S: The hype train wasn’t kidding about this having an amazing aroma. There are tons of tropical fruits - mango, cantaloupe, apricot, papaya - that explode aromatically. I will say, this isn’t quite as vibrant as it could have been if it had been super fresh or from a growler, so sadly I can’t give it a 5 in good conscience. T: The tropical fruits from the nose come through to the flavor - at first. Initial tastes of melon, grapefruit, and cantaloupe are quickly supplanted by a floral, piny bitterness. I’d like to see a little more citrusy notes and less piny bitterness, but this is still a great (but simple) IPA. M: Tingly coarse at first, before leaving the palate quickly by a good clean dryness. Pleasant carbonation and drinkability. O: I’d buy the shit out of this if it were readily available in my area. Honestly, however, I don’t know if I’d seek it out, only because this supposedly falls off fast and hard. Still, this is very much a must try.

Pours golden and translucent with a white head with an aroma of lemongrass and hops. Tastes of lively carbonation and deep rich astringent bitter hops. It's medium to light bodied. It is bitter and floral.

Where: Old Line Fine Wine Spirits & Bistro. How: Pint pour on tap. Appearance is hazy light gold with small white head. Aroma is wonderful, tropical fruit, citrus, honey, hibiscus, hops, piney. Taste is very hoppy and floral with the tropical fruit in the back end. Palate is soft mouthfeel. Overall, an excellent IPA, could be had every night for sure!

Bottle from Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, shared with PracticePlastic. No bottle date. Sweet & bready malts, pine, some citrus. Too malty for full enjoyment. A little alcohol presence. 12.8

What is this sour green apple Jolly Rancher offering? Honestly this one had a one dimension character with apple dominating the presence.

It’s been widely chosen that Flower Power is Draft of choice in the Finger Lakes. With its 7.5% alcohol to volume, take it easy, but you will be sure to love the taste, flavor, and aroma, if you are a looking for that delicious hoppy taste. Every tasting room should have a keg of the most delicious Flower Power. It’s worth its weight in gold! Have a great night and don’t forget about Power Hour, with your Flower Power! ;)

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Fresh Market, Bedford. Appearance is hazy yellow-orange with fine, dark particulates, thin white creamy head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is citrus, fruit, resin. Taste is as aroma over malt bill. Palate is medium bodied with thick, creamy texture, soft carbonation and citrusy sweet over bitter finish. Overall, not as flavorful or aromatic as I would have expected--perhaps a tad old?
