Sweet nutty aroma. Quick fading head. No lacing to speak of. Sweet malt upfront no hop finish. Thin but lively on the tongue. An ok beer. DiarmaidBHK (5715) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 19, 2014
Bottle from half time. Pours darks brown with a half inch of khaki foam. Not a lot on the nose. leaves some lacing on the glass. Has some solid nuttiness on the tongue. Finishes clean. Not bad. Sissio (1726) - Orsenigo, ITALY - JAN 5, 2014
Clear nut brown color with brown head. Aroma licorice, roasted malts, roasted nuts, rich chocolate with some coffee. There is some burnt wood also. Sweet with a hint of sourness, gentle bitter ending. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee, with some ashy taste, like a mixture og raw roasted coffee beans. Bitter aftertaste mixed with roasted coffe and cocoa beans. Very enjoyable. bigguns22 (800) - Maryland, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Dark brown in color thin white head. Aroma is lite and malty. A touch sour but more chocolate then anything. mcclainc50 (217) - New York, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Pours a dark brown with a nice tan head leaving a little lacing. Aromasnof roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Chocolate and caramel in the flavor with the malty taste finishing the beer smoothly. Very pleasant beer.

Brown pour. White head aroma of chocolate and hazelnuts. Taste of chocolate, nuts and hint of caramels. Very smooth mouthful. Good beer solidfunk (9366) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Comes together alright, just not a lot of flavour. Some roast malt, lace and head is ok. Some nut as well, I’m going to say macadamia just to sound pretentious. Pours maroon. Some caramel in malt. On tap at brewpub. Frothmeister (827) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 21, 2013
12 fluid oz bottle. Pours a hazy reddish brown with a tan head that quickly diminished. Aromas of cocoa, biscuity malt, light citrus, light dried fruits, and molasses. The taste starts with a light smokey note, cocoa, coffee grounds, a faint spearmint note, and a bitter finish. Reminds me of a lighter Mill Street Coffee Porter. Nothing groundbreaking here, but a totally rock solid dark ale. Recommended! rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JUL 17, 2013
Hazy brown amber color, thin rim head, no lace. Taste is sweet caramel malt that adds light chocolate bittering at the finish. Doesn’t stand out from the crowd. Easy drinking, but a little heavy on the back end. shrubber85 (11582) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 14, 2013
Bottle. Coffee, nut, and chocolate aroma. Chestnut brown with minimal head. Sweet chocolate and molasses malt flavor. Pecan and lightly bitter herbal finish. Very good.
