This beer has a deep reddish color and poured out of the bottle with a nice head on it. The taste was initially a clean sweetness followed by a strong roasty finish. I'm not usually a nut brown fan, but I enjoyed this beer very much. kilgore41599 (98) - Rochester, New York, USA - FEB 20, 2002
A good Nut Brown, but clearly not Newcastle. It has a deep flavor to it that is tough to find. VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - DEC 21, 2001
Deep murky chestnut brown. Thin head. Unfiltered. Aroma of steady chocolate malts and dry nuts. Nice mellow body with a solid chocolate malt base and some nuts. Dry with a slightly sour and metallic taste, from the water or yeast maybe? Decent brown. Oakes (19013) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 3, 2001
Chestnut hue; good nutty aromas; decent depth of nutty flavours.............
