NOTF 2010. Hazy amber pour with a tight head. Bright brett nose with some lemony character. Softly tannic character that detracts a bit from the original but it’s fairly similar to the regular version. Fruity, dry and tasty. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - APR 23, 2011
Reviewed from notes. I seem to be in the minority on this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. The pour yields a light copper brew with a bit of haze and a nice white head. The nose is really nice with the alcohol and oakiness really coming in strong. A bit of spice there as well as quite a bit of funk and some hops in the background. Light citrus and tropical notes. The flavor keeps rolling with the punches and the Citra hops from the underlying brew pair nicely with what was apparently brandy. Good funk in there as well. Overall, not as good as the base beer--which was one of the better beers I’ve ever had--but still a very solid effort.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy golden orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of earth, leather, citrus, peach, and horseblanket. Flavor of earthiness, brett, grass, and orange with a dry wood finish. Jblauvs (1357) - Chester, Vermont, USA - NOV 8, 2010
golden pour, Smells a lot like Super Friends, with some light woody dryness in the middle. A little yeastier than the Friends as well, more of a Brett presence, but still plenty of that delicious Citra hop zest, some nice nectar fruit. the mouthfeel is creamy and light. Really Delicious stuff. Ithaca Continues to impress oteyj (2138) - New Hampshire, USA - NOV 7, 2010
Opaque golden pour with a small white head. Lots of juicy citrus and nectar notes in the nose with definite bretty earthen funk. The flavor holds more resinous hop character with juicy nectar fruit and mandarin orange. Funk is well placed and delicately balanced.

Pouring at Night of the Funk on the Friday night of Belgian Beer Fest in Boston. Pours a hazy golden amber with a medium to thick beige head. Big citra hops, peach, nectarines, bretty with light wood notes. Tastes a lot like Super Friends but the wood element is definitely present and imparts another little layer of complexity. Wood and dry brett on the finish. Great stuff.
