Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is opaque black with reddish-brown at bottom edge of glass, finger-width brown foamy head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malts, bordering on burnt, coffee. Taste is as aroma but coffee is fairly restrained. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, oftentimes a brewer goes to heavy with an adjunct but this might be just the opposite. Kudos for not overwhelming the beer with the coffee but a little stronger contribution from the coffee would be welcome. DiarmaidBHK (5896) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 26, 2017
Nitro Draft at taproom. Pours black with a thick khaki head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Has some lactose and roasted malt notes on the nose. Light coffee and lactose on the tongue. Finished clean. Quaffable but not particularly memorable. fishdj120 (3) - East greenwich, Rhode Island, USA - APR 7, 2017 does not count
A harsher stout with too little hints of coffee. Color and body are average.

This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a black color with a semi-thick roaming ringy off white foamy lacing fall in and around a dieing head. Spotty lace.
The aroma takes on rich sweet coffee to cocoa bean, bringing in subtle notes of caramel, some coffee grounds, and a little bit of cake.
The flavor yields to the sweetness initially and then bringing in the coffee grounds a bit more harsh than expected, acceptable. Dry slick semi-sweet milk chocolate aftertaste. Sticky sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Dry rough sort of slick feel sticking to my tongue. Slight silky oaty smoothness. Good carbonation.
Overall, sweet stout or oatmeal stout? Some sort of nice blend between the two, seemingly enough. Would bang again. Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 14, 2017
A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, light mineral notes, light vanilla, treacle, very nice. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, light powdery mouth feel, nice and smooth. On tap at Syracuse Winter Brewfest 2017.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin light tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate malt, vanilla, roasted malt. Flavor of roasted malt, charred malt, bitter chocolate. I don’t really get much coffee here. Decent stout, fairly heavy bodied for the abv.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with small frothy beige head, coffee aroma, medium carbonation, coffee taste with some berries, thin body, long bitter coffee finish with strong coffee flavor. Nice not spectacular. DocLock (11025) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 14, 2016
Bottle. Hazy black pour with not much head. Nose is roasty dark malt, cacao, coffee. Tastes as it smells, with subdued coffee and some hops in the finish.
