Tap at iBREW Shinbashi. Dark red or brownish red pour. Some nice foam on top leaving good lacings. Nose is nice spicy and hoppy, good malty character but also a hint of citrus. Taste is hoppy and citric, malty and spicy base there but blends well and leaves nice fresh imperssion. Good balance and good happiness, well made red IPA, definitely enjoyable. Good stuff. Dark reddish brown color. Reddish hued head. Nice hoppy fruity nose with dried friuit and caramel underneath. Medium full body. Nice dried strawberry character goes well with citrus character from hops. Prickly hops hit across the mouth. Full body than I was expecting. Decent. willisread (4207) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 17, 2015
Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a deep reddish-brown with a small half finger of off-white foam. Grass and light citrus on the nose with pepper and caramel malt standing out. Some light peach and pear as it warms up. Average body with medium carbonation. Well-balanced if not boring. Prickly, peppery finish with caramel malt. Not bad. minihame2 (860) - Oulu, FINLAND - DEC 17, 2015
Intense, deep red colour, small tan head. Hoppy aroma, pine, some citrus. Taste is soft, mildly bitter towards the end. Smooth mouthfeel, very little carbonation. Decent but not impressive in any way. jbeatty (1267) - New York, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Bottle, thanks to TimE and Jonno, 07/05/2013. Pours dark burnt amber, thin off-white creamy head fades to a spotty haze on the surface, dense lacing left behind. Aroma is light sweet caramel, spicy, mild tropical notes with piney, grassy hops. Taste is dark, spicy rye malts, mild sweetness, light citrus and tropical notes, clean piney finish. Medium body, not too sticky, quite drinkable. Nice, pretty good IPA.

Earthy and rich tones of hops, burnt caramel, some fruit. I got some nice spices as well. A good lot of flavour and hop bitterness on a solid if unremarkable body. Nicely balanced. Great bitterness. Good stuff. KansaiBeerLvrs (5655) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 18, 2013
A bottle from Asahiya. It poured an opaque reddish-brown with a thin white head which dissipated fairly quickly. The aroma was a nice malt sweetness overlaid with a bitter pine hop smell. The taste starts with the malt followed by a mid-mouth hop bitterness and a back of the mouth puckering bitterness. It’s quite bitter but well balanced and nice to drink. I found out the the R stands for Red as well as Respect for Masaji, nice! All in all a very good IPA though not super complex hop wise, great execution though. I’d drink it again. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAR 16, 2013
Bottle from Hasegawa. Dark red/brown colour with big creamy and bubbly beige head. Aroma is lots of hops, resinous, hint of cat pee, brown bread malt. Taste is nice, not as bitter as I was expecting, lots of malt. Spicy prickle on the tongue, long lasting bitterness at the end. Not as hoppy as some red IPAs and all the better for it. Much more malt character. Pretty nice.

Aroma: Ripe tropical fruit
Palate: Lushess, full body
Flavor: Ripe tropical fruit, pineapple, orange and orange peel. Finishes with white pepper and pine. jonno (2750) - WESTERN SAHARA - MAR 9, 2013
Bottle. Reminds me of their IPA with an earthier, spicier characteristic to it. Would like to try tap, as the bottle tasted a little flat to me. Still rye, biscuit malt, earthy body.Weighted hops. Good to very good.
