On draught - hand pump @ Popeye’s
Hazy copper beautiful color, nice thick creamy head that is not terribly persistent but just enough. Just the lightest carbonation it seems perfectly balanced on the edge of American West Coast hoppines but not quite there. A dead ringer for a top notch American Pale Ale (IMHO) Oakes (17697) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 5, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2006 Densely sedimented orange-tan colour. Rich piney (think Deus) aroma with peach, grapefruit. Huge bitterness, but fresh rather than tongue-scraping. No resin, no crystal malt..cross-country skiing on a deserted mountain track. Pine needles, wood and grapefruit flavours. Full body and lots of sweet malts underpinning the hops. Similar to Hitachino’s Japanese Classic, I could drink this for days. ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 13, 2005
Hazy orange colour with a low white head. Flowery hop aroma with notes of peaches and mint. Flavour of grapefruit and mint with notes of tart apricot. Long hoppy grapefruity aftertaste. A really nice IPA! Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2005
Bottled. Hazy amber coloured. Hops and exotic fruits in the aroma. Rather complex and interesting flavour with loads of hops, fruits and some tea. Lingering dry and bitter aftertaste. Very nice. iwantalambic (1478) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - DEC 23, 2005
330 mL bottle, courtesy of the greatest Secret Santa: IslandHaole: hazy, dark pumpkin with a white head that diminishes quickly, leaving a thick latticework on the sides of the glass. Light hop aroma that I can only describe as mild (compared to the over-hopped IPA that are all too common around here) with hints of peaches, pine needles, and pears. Mango and other fruity flavours coat the tongue while the bitterness of the hops and the resiny grapefruit pucker the lips. I would say an interesting and tasty IPA, doesn’t slap you in the face and relies on it rounded flavours to carry it, well done.

Draught at Popeyes. Poured reddish gold with a small tan head. Aroma of citrus and pine hops. Flavor is earthy/pine hops, citrus and some fruit. Finishes dry and bitter. A very nice IPA. TimE (5827) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JUN 20, 2008
Beautiful golden amber color. soft hoppy nose of oranges and apples. Sweet malty start is balanced by bitter hops hitting the back of the mouth with a touch of tropical fruit flavors. Well balanced. Finishes dry with hops simply sitting there and lingering. Not aggressive or passive. Its not only me who has said this is an excellent hybrid US-English IPA. Very nice. Medium copper color with a very low, lacy head. Rather rich amber malt aroma, caramel, some hops but not a lot. Rich malt flavor, caramel, chocolate. Good hops bitterness but without a lot of hop aroma. Some though, with some fruit and a bit of citrus. Very rich strong, malt, though, right through to the end. Earthy, bitter, but malty finish. Very complex, though not as fruity and hoppy as I would ask for. Well done, though. Great Malt. jonno (2762) - JAPAN - NOV 20, 2008
If they could get a bit more hops on this thing it would be the perfect brew. Have to settle for really well made. Poured a hazy, unfiltered blonde, with a moderate floral nose. Very balanced and smooth. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2009
Bottle at Golden Garden, Hiroshima. CLoudy amber - white head. High hoppy, fruity, grape fruits, melon, citric, flowery, resin, caramel, nice malty, nice high hoppy.
