Bottle - pours black tan head - nose and taste of coconut, coffee, vanilla, calvados, sweet chocolate - full bodied koleminer20 (4485) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - SEP 18, 2017
750 mL bottle that was shared, and I was fortunate enough to get a pour of. Whoa baby. The pour is a thick and heavy black color with a thin ring of dark brown head and no lace as it vanishes. All that’s left is a stain on the glass. The aroma is great. The vanilla, chocolate, and coconut really shoot through beautifully with a heavy bandy on the back end. The alcohol is nice, because it’s almost all flavor and a kiss of oak. The chocolate and coffee just punch through with a subtle coconut and vanilla cleaning it up. The flavor is about the same. The chocolate and coffee are big up front. The brandy and oak just lead beautifully through a big vanilla and shredded and toasted coconut on the finish. This is complex, deep, and just all around great. The mouth feel is incredible as well. The viscosity is lovely with a soft carbonation and a viscous syrup consistency through the back end. This is just a phenomenal beer. Front to back, this is great. 9 5 10 5 19 Ataraxia (590) - California, USA - SEP 16, 2017

nah, these beers just taste so fake. Lots of excessive unbalanced off flavors just thrown together. The coconut overwhelms and numbs the palate. Klimaet (3229) - Aarhus N, DENMARK - APR 16, 2017
