COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship Pre-Prohibition style lager is inspired by the all malt beers of the early 1900s. This traditional full bodied lager achieves great balance between hop bitterness & malt sweetness. It delivers a crisp and refreshing taste that never disappoints.

Pours a clear golden orange on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of mild raw malt over light bready malts and grassy hops. Taste is clean and light, crisp and clean, good malt presence and a very mild hop tinge. Solid easy drinking lager.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2017 340 ml bottle. Nice malty nose and golden colour but no head. Easy drinking, if I wasn't in a rush I would have a few more.

340ml bottle. Pours clear golden amber with a small head, quickly dissipating. Aroma of light sweet pale malts, grainy, corn, subtle hops. Taste of sweet malts, grainy, corny, any hops are too subtle to notice, a touch of bitterness in the finish. Light body, thin oily texture, average carbonation. Ok but really not that much better than most big macro produced lagers.

This is a fantastic lager. Full bodied, rich and puts the big commercial brew fodder to shame. Bought for R13 per 340ml bottle at Ultra Liquors, Cape Town, South Africa. 5% ABV. As is typical for a lager it's filtered, has a pleasant enough nose if a little muted and uninteresting. Slightly sweet straw, earthy flavor. Light malt, little hops. Great session beer, part of my daily. Good stuff, support local and the smaller breweries!!

Clear golden colour. Grainy aroma, with a full bodied malt flavour. Not much bitterness. Easy drinking lager, certainly a step above the mass-produced lagers.

340ml Bottle: Pours a brilliant golden with thin white head. Lacing. Aromas of hay and biscuit. Bitterness is well balanced by the malt. Medium to light bodied, medium carbonation. Overall an easy drinking lager that has my thumbs up.
