Third stop during Minnesota Paul Bunyan loop tour. Sampled on draught at the brewery taproom in Baxter, Minnesota. Pours a semi-clear brownish amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that quickly dissipates and leaves a thin lace. Aroma of roasted nuts, a touch of grassy hops and some light chocolate. Taste is light to medium bodied, flavors of roasted nuts, dark caramel malt and a hint of grassy hops. Draft at All Pints North. This is a pretty average brown ale. A little roasted nuttiness to it. Simple, something that will appeal to someone that thinks they don’t like dark beers. BVery (10600) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUL 13, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Sampled at All Pints North 2013 in Duluth, MN. Hazy amber pour with a frothy head. Bready, some chocolate and nut. Not a bad beer.
