At the source: pours copper with small white head. Aroma is vanilla, sugar, malts, bourbon. Taste is fairly sweet. Vanilla and maltiness. Booze very well covered. Not as complex as I would have thought.

Fruit. Booze. Sweet. Murky brown with an off white head that quickly fades to almost nothing. Brown sugar. Dark fruit. Earth. Booze. Really good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewery. Pours a softly hazed browned amber with a thin tan head. Big bourbon and wood on the nose, warm and boozy. Medium bodied, big and boozy right away, warm and full of bourbon. Big loads of vanilla, sweet and sticky. Long sticky malt and booze on the finish, warming alcohol, sweet bourbon. Lovely but enormous.

Bottle, bah too much. Thin and very strong. Sweet, and light barrel flavors. Just sweet, thin, light and strong. the opposite of what something goos should be. Come on Jacks Abby!

500 ml bottle split by T.J, thanks for the new MA tick. Wow... What happened with this bottle? Aroma is dirty dark fruits, wet socks, and mild infection.

Starts with a mild bourbon and turns into dirty athletes socks. Funky dark fruit. Infected someplace in the process. What a shame.

Chalumeaux (1656) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - APR 30, 2017
Poured from bottle purchased 1 year ago and stored in cellar. Upon opening was a gusher. Aromas of bourbon dark fruit smells like a barleywine. Taste is not good, infected. Not drinkable. Have another bottle. Too bad.

From a 50 cl bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours a clear pale mahogany with an ecru head. Aroma of vanilla and oak. Flavors of bourbon, caramel and butterscotch. Smooth and rich finish.
