500 ml bottle from Pearl Street Beverage in Burlington, WI, consumed at cellar temp from a König Pils glass. Pours a vaguely hazy/oily deep gold verging on amber, with a smallish lasting head...pils malt dominates a pleasant if only lightly smoky nose; if you’re going to use the words "fire" and "ham", you ought to make it SMOKY, guys!...the smoke and a bit of sweetness comes through more as it warms and just before that first sip...the smoky-toasty character is more evident to the tongue actually (and unusually), with a very light sweetness and an overall malt characteristic reminiscent of a helles, the sweetness and the smokiness carrying through to the finish which is remarkably unchanged from the first experience in the mouth...medium-bodied, perhaps slightly on the light side, with carbonation perhaps a little low and a touch of syrupiness coming on as it warms. My first experience with this brewery; I think this was the only thing Pearl Street had. Can pour into taster cup at One Stop Market 30th Anniversary. Appearance is pale yellow (urine-like) with effervescent sparkle, mild head and lacing. Aroma is mainly smoky, with mild yeast, and is that a fruity ester quality? Taste is smoke dominant, on top of fruit(?). Not really sure if that’s it or not, but it’s not really working. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, average carbonation, and smoky, dry lightly bitter and tart finish. Overall, this is very smoke dominant and it either drowns out, or just doesn’t quit work for me with the rest of it. Things seem to be conflicting. For me, a rare miss for this brewer.

500mL bottle. Pours a brownish gold with a medium off-white head. Aroma is smoky bacon. Taste is mild ham, some hints of fruit, light malt, and a little yeast. Lingering smoky finish. Pleasant, but without bite.
500ml bottle at Josh. Aroma is smoke, wheat, some veggies. Taste is fruity, slightly smoky. Easy drinkable.
